I bought a broadband adapter for my gamecube and I was wondering if its possible to connect lan games between modem and broadband adapters. I don't wanna pay another $80 for another broadband adapter. besides speeds are there any other differences?

I was wondering how many games were released for the gamecube that used previous save files. Like Lego Star Wars II loading characters unlocked in lego star wars 1.
