I wonder if we could exploit the fact it makes you set certain settings when the clock battery is removed, it writes to sram then right?

Okay so i desoldered the chip (no idea how intact it is and i was nanometers away from bridging a pin to the chip) https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/296300178560909312/362684577027719169/JPEG_20170926_204134.jpg and replaced it with a wired install. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/24...

Okay after severe resoldering over and over im convinced this chip is defective. All it does is blink. Is it even possible i was sold a fake? https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/296300178560909312/362265544826814485/20170926_115343.jpg This is what it looks like now,(probably gonna take it off ...

Re: XEN8GC install issues
What does the drive do, does it keep resetting? The lights generally blink when it resets the drive and attempts to upload the patch code. I'd check the soldering against the wired version solder points (have a search on the forum here for that installation picture). The drive works as if the modch...

Best Way to Play Paper Mario 64 on the Gamecube?
Im looking to inject it into the experience emulator but the tools say it is too big. Not64 will play it but with some crippling bugs. Is there another way that i can play this game on the gamecube decently?

Oooh nice i didnt know this was possible :3Streetwalker wrote:Dude, do you even read what I'm writing? I said it twice already, you only need to burn one swiss dvd, then you can put any future update as boot.dol on your SD card and it will pick it up.

Re: XenoGC Full Source Code
Got 1.01 flashed using Swiss after half a dozen attempts. The first try looked like it worked perfectly but rendered the Xeno GC inoperative (no LEDs), so I went searching in vain for the serial programmer I built a few years ago. Thankfully I also have a Viper GC Extreme, so I was able to use that...

Re: XenoGC Full Source Code
Can someone make a version of swiss that will load in place of the credits.dol or the shell.dol? I was reading earlier posts and it said it was possible. Itd be very helpful to launch swiss from the sd gecko using the xenogc or as a .dol in general. Any help would be appreciated :3

Re: Replacing XenoShell With Swiss?
Itd be awesome if someone could build a simple dol bootstrap for it. Im probably never going to use xenoshell, and reburning swiss every time theres an update is redundant.

Re: Replacing XenoShell With Swiss?
Without upgrading the hardware (pushing the cost of the modchip much higher than what you find xenos for nowadays) that'd be pretty hard, the flash in the atmega8 is way too small to fit an interesting payload, even iplboot. It might be possible to write a tiny bootstrap that works similarly to the...
