Re: Game Boy Interface
Just want to let you know that this guide is absolutely fantastic. I've been using this method twice to update my Carby (to version 2.4b and 2.4c). The only thing that gets a bit messy is the USB port detection for XILINX, I have to retry that bit until the ISE platform detects it. Thank you so muc...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I have the GBI booting straight from memory card with the AC exploit. I notice the disc drive is still running when running the GBI, is there a way to turn this off without opening the lid? Would be great if the software turned it off when booting. I'm not sure about the AC exploit, but I use the W...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Hello, first time poster, I registered because I haven't been able to find a solution to my problem online and I'm hoping someone on the forums here might have had a similar experience and can help. I recently purchased an Eon GCHD mk-ii to pair with Wii component cables in order to use GBI on a CR...

Re: Game Boy Interface
There is a way to configure the settings from a computer and then making it an autoboot file, or burning it to a regular memory card. Mine is inside of a modified Windwaker save on a regular 59 block memory card, which boots directly to GBI after pressing start after the game disk loads. An addition...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Why should he have to spend three dollars when you can make him an updated disk image for free? Don't be unreasonable, Extrems. because every change you make with settings you need to burn a new disc. or when they software got a update the disc are got rare. In Germany a 5-10disc package cost aroun...

Re: Game Boy Interface
...Except that it's not a GBI disc, it's a Memory Card Boot Disc. Loading it just goes back to the GameCube Startup screen. :( Use a Wii to put GBI onto a memory card, or buy an SD card adapter. Why should he have to spend three dollars when you can make him an updated disk image for free? Don't be...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I haven't updated GBI in awhile and decided to try out the newer versions with my Eon GCHD. Looks like I'm getting some sharpening artifacts with the GBISR that I'm not getting if I use the standard GBI. Any ideas of what might be causing this and what setting I could change with a .cli? Try: --sca...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Wow, thank you so much for this detailed information! I'm certainly gonna give this a shot when I get hold of that JTAG programmer. :D I'm going to make a Linux VirtualBox image if I can and just put in on my web server, because that Windows XP step is needlessly complicated, I think I can get the ...

Re: Game Boy Interface
I'm currently waiting for Insurrection Industries to post their guide on how to update gcvideo so I can update to version 4.2b. I mainly chose Carby because it allows updating using JTAG, but I unfortunatly have never done anything with JTAG so I don't know where to begin. =P Meanwhile, this is my ...

Re: Game Boy Interface
Ah. Makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. Fantastic job, by the way. I'm playing through a bunch of games I haven't played since the mid 90s as I get a headache from staring at a small screen for too long.

Why is 360p preferred to 576p for best quality?

Re: Game Boy Interface
Will the original Game Boy resolution of 144 (or 288) ever be supported? It would scale nicely into 576p. Or is it impossible due to Game Boy Advance games requiring more screen space than that?

Re: Game Boy Interface
Its also fairly difficult to track down a Japanese Pro Action Replay, whereas Japanese Smash and Windwaker disks are everywhere (for those of us with spice orange gamecubes).
