Re: Ways to start Swiss on a Japanese GC console
There is several games, which supports Japanese exploited save games. Namely Animal Crossing , F-Zero GX , Pokemon Colosseum and XD , Super Smash Bros. Melee , Twilight Princess and Wind Waker . From these, I'm recommending either Twilight Princess or Wind Waker, due to faster executing exploit then...

I don't wanna beat a dead horse (and making off-topic posts), but trust me, there's no conflict with analog AV port, I just tried it.

Re: Question Regarding Picture Quality [PAL & NTSC]
Otherwise, just get a CARBY. Or in case of Europe, Prism HD. I wanted Carby for the longest time, but to get one in Europe, you have to prepare to pay extra (VAT, clearance, etc.). Recently I found out about Prism HD and it's much easier to get one here. And since all of HDMI solutions are based on...

Re: Question Regarding Picture Quality [PAL & NTSC]
So basically XenoGC is more or less useless nowadays? Yes, it pretty much is. I bought Splinter Cell as my exploit entry point (that game still goes for pennies), from which I boot directly to Swiss. If my laser should die on me in the future, I'll probably install PicoBoot. But currently, my PAL c...

Re: Question Regarding Picture Quality [PAL & NTSC]
Arnold007: if you have DOL-001 GC (region doesn't matter), than you can use both GC Component cables (if you're ok with selling one of your kidneys) or any of HDMI solution that are on the market. I recently bought Retro-bit Prism for my DOL-001 PAL GC and with Swiss, I was able to force progressive...

Re: dreampi to cubepi?
I don't see that as "benefit", maybe as a curiosity. I looked for that PSO version, and couldn't even find ISO image of it, and even if I do, as you said, you're unable to play it. You can just say, that unlike Dolphin, you can run it, but that's not so much a benefit in my eyes.

Re: dreampi to cubepi?
The big problem of mentioned CubePi would be incompatibility of LAN games with it. With modem, you can only play Homeland (JP language only) and Phantasy Star Online. Rest of the LAN enabled games are strictly LAN only, and from what I heard, its network code is really not that great. These games we...

Buy 2GB card or smaller one. I bought one like two weeks ago, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one still.

Re: Wind Waker Hack for GC
Not possible with softmod. There are other methods, how to boot homebrew without inserted disc, but those require modifying console.Lone_Beagle wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 3:10 am...but if I could skip the process of starting up with a disc, that would be even better.

Re: Control Swiss with Second Controller?
I was just wondering, if any of the exploits had been discovered and Swiss developped while the GC was still on the market, would this have had boosted the GC sales, or would it have been worse for Nintendo? Well, the PSO exploit was discovered still during the active life of GC. But as usual, hack...

Re: PSUL / PSOLoad help?
Ok, shame on me... I wanted to test a bit more, to find what is latest Swiss revision, which will work on PSUL, when I find out, that I wasn't using PSUL 1.1, but 1.0... :| So scrap what I said previously, with PSUL 1.1 (this time actually using it), you can load even newest Swiss (r634 at the time ...

Re: PSUL / PSOLoad help?
So I went this road lately, and man, what a ride it was... Since I wasn't able find anyone with hacked Wii locally, and everyone here is singing praises to BBA, I told my self that I will give it a chance and went to buy BBA. I also found cheap copy of PSO (PAL version), although without manual, but...

Why would you be removing heat-sink, when XenoGC is soldered to DVD-ROM's PCB, which is separated from mainboard PCB?

Re: Trouble loading Swiss from AC exploit
Problem with file? I don't think so. 101 isn't new version of exploit, but exploit used for AC version 1.01. If you have DVD with version 1.00, then it's obvious, that you have to use exploit intended for version 1.00 (therefore gaej_v100.gci).

Re: New to HOMEBREW, SWISS, & GBI. Need help!
Yeah, I know, I plan to use Swiss for loading DOLs, but Swiss itself is taking quite a lot of space on MC (I have only 251 one). I also want to be able to update Swiss to later versions, which would be a lot easier, if Swiss would be just an DOL executable on SD Gecko rather then GCI on memory card.

Thank you for your time!
DoLaunchers indeed looks interesting. Does the broexec works with other save exploits then SSBM (like FIX94 ones)? It seems like really good idea, but it looks like I'm unable test that in Dolphin.

I'm completely new to GameCube, but I tried to gather as much info as I was able to, but still missing some things, which I want to ask about. I bought PAL DOL-001 GC, SD Gecko and 251 memory card,...
