Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
As someone who spent a lot of time around mega, I'd put money on a "10 day delay" being something the manufacturer said to him. I've never seen any actual release dates or promises other than "soon" or "two minutes to midnight," because there are always a lot of externa...

Re: GCVideo Lite on N64
There was a problem in the code, so my wonderful friend Aurelio sent me an updated SVF and we got it working! http://i.imgur.com/D8qvBx1.jpg I'm told that the IO voltage level in Bank 3 wasn't set, which is the bank that contains sync(which I guess explains everything.) He told me he's going to make...

Re: GCVideo Lite on N64
Thanks for the reply! I'll use component from here on out, plus it's the only thing the CRT will take. Here's what my wiring looks like: http://i.imgur.com/ZO5FdWt.jpg Green cable in composite doesn't show anything, same deal on component as well. With my multimeter, I get a lot of different frequen...

Re: GCVideo Lite on N64
Alright, so I've pressed a little further on this but I'm still coming up empty... I've got a plethora of different TVs/monitors I've tested GCVideo on GC with, and they all produce the same result with the N64 svf: NO SIGNAL. 1. BenQ monitor w/VGA input - supports 240i/p 480i/p etc. Doesn't give a ...

GCVideo Lite on N64
Considering how large the "Cloning the GameCube component cable" thread is, I figured a new thread might be better to tackle this specific usage, and would be easier to find for others who may need help. So, I've got this thing wired up and programmed but for the life of me, I can't even g...

That seems to be the central theme here; is there anyone out there other than Extrems who's able to compile this?emu_kidid wrote:Subtle differences but they completely break if you're not using devkitRice

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Yeah basically, plus probably a minor tweak to the autoloading args. The fix worked for Wii64 though, but I'm guessing there's likely quite a difference between that and this.

Re: Enhanced mGBA
Probably the dumbest request you could ever possibly get, but can you add a way to read font data from somewhere else when booting on the Wii? The emulator otherwise works perfectly without an MX chip, except for the fact that it has no menu fonts.

This is amazing. Can you add objects to the map in real time? I want a button that spawns pigs. That, or I need to go through and replace all unimportant things with pigs.
I'd like to see how they interact in every environment.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
No resistors, just a component marked D2 connecting it to ground:
It probably serves the same purpose. But aside from that, it's a straight connection from the plug to the final via.

If you're looking for alternate points on the Wii for 5v, controllers, and cabledetect(listed as "mode"), I've mapped out a few here: http://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/the-definitive-wii-trimming-guide.198/#post-1492 Pin 8's the actual Cabledetect(in most pinouts online they're ...

I'm reading old threads on the forum and people are mentioning things like "on the last page" and it's not anymore and I AM SO CONFUSED. This change ruins the forums for me.

No. It's been awhile since I've looked at a non-trimmed GC motherboard, but I'm pretty sure the digital port pins come straight off the processor.

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Well basically it all comes down to "input lag," which is what people want to reduce as much as possible. And you can only influence that by changing how you handle the video, because the signal from the controller hits the cube the same way regardless of everything else. So for example, t...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
I'm sorry if I sound stupid, a lot of this is technical stuff out of my normal endeavors and the majority of what I'm going off of is what I can remember from past discussions. I just know eventually with Melee someone's gonna claim GCVideo is laggy, and I want to know to what degree(even if it's mi...
