It'd take less effort to make Not64/Cube64 work good than do what you're suggesting.
Is anybody working on that right now?

Re: Inject N64 roms into the zelda collector disc?

I mean, the collector's edition emulator is by far the best-performing N64 emulator on the GameCube. At least in my experience, things such as Not64 and Cube64 border on non-functional on the GameCube, but my setup may be suboptimal. If the Zelda 64 emulator can be reverse-engineered down to bare bo...

Re: Inject N64 roms into the zelda collector disc?

Wait, would this be the optimal framework to emulate N64 on GC?

I wonder if this could hypothetically be used with SSBM Slippi online 🤔
Why would you, Slippi is already online.
Idk, only to play on GC I guess.

Re: USB to SP2 Adapter?

Don't know much about the current load ability on the SP2, I may be wrong, but I fear that draining the current needed for four controllers and rumble may not be safe, perhaps the µC and controllers without rumble can be just nice. That's another question you won't have to find the answer using a s...

Re: USB to SP2 Adapter?

An interrupt pin allows for an external appliance (or internal peripheral in other cases) to warn the main system (CPU) that it has data to deliver, it's a kind of "handshaking", then, the main system can be aware right on time to listen to it, it can be very responsive and time effective...

Re: USB to SP2 Adapter?

They're connected to the same EXI bus, so the same in terms of speed, enough for controller inputs. SP2 has interrupt ability though. For four more players on a GC, the simpler way would be a GC with homebrew to bridge-forward its controller data to the main GC via EXI cross-cable. As does some NES...

Re: Yet another USB Gecko clone

Could you use this with a controller adapter and homebrew software to increase the amount of players in a game?

Re: USB to SP2 Adapter?

It would certainly have a niche usage, but I think 8-player GameCube games would be at least somewhat of a big deal. Is there a difference in speed between the Memory Card slot and SP2?

You could use any of the Serial Ports (including Memory Slots), but it wouldn't be much faster than USB 1.1.
But would it be enough for a controller adapter?

Re: USB to SP2 Adapter?

Using the Hi Speed Port would be more sensible as it could handle USB 2.0. You're saying the Hi Speed Port could handle USB but SP2 can't? That would preclude the use of the GBA player though :/. Although I guess that wouldn't be too tragic, all you've gotta do is switch them out—I don't see why yo...

USB to SP2 Adapter?

Hello all, I was wondering if Serial Port 2 could be utilized to give the GameCube a USB port. I ask for a few reasons: - This would maybe open up the possibility of saving/loading homebrew files to/from a USB drive. - This would maybe open up the possibility of using a Mayflash or other GameCube co...
