Re: Mario Party 5 (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
I only patched the code in for convenience lol. Seems the patcher has issues with long codes, so doesn't work great. Personally I have a collection of gamemasterplc patches on my PC for whenever I own the game legally so I don't have to find it later.

Re: Mario Party 5 (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
GCT. I considered that very thing myself. Let me see if I can find a different one. Edit: I think I figured it out. Idiot me was using default.dol, which probably isn't the game code. Whoops. Code I used was the wiki one Edit 2: Yep that's what it was. Whoopsies. Just did Mario Kart, I'll do Mario G...

How do you use Gecko Loader? Trying to patch Mario Golf Toadstool Tour with a widescreen code and it keeps saying that it can't find a hook address and failing.

Re: Can I Load Swiss to Launch a Gameboy Player on a Japanese Gamecube?
The Game Boy Player is region free, so it'd work. You can boot it one of two ways: Original Game Boy Player boot disc ISO, or just use homebrew named Game Boy Interface.

Re: Bought a dead GC and trying to diagnose it's problem. I'm stumped
The RTC is used for system time for saves and other things. 2032 would be for that. Not sure why system wouldn't turn on with a dead one, but safe to replace just in case. Capacitors should count upwards in value constantly on multimeter if they're good to go. 2032 seems to be dead by the sounds of ...

Re: Medal of Honor: Frontline (GCN/WIIRD/PAL)
Can you port the widescreen code to NTSC-U version? I tried this on it hoping it'd work, but no. Dolphin does get to the main menu and gets to a loading screen after clicking "New game" on the main menu, but it then throws a bunch of invalid write messages. Not sure what I was expecting th...

Re: SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Could be. If there is, it's probably hard to spot unless you look for it, or maybe certain spots later in the game that I didn't look at. Not like it'd be hard with not a lot of objects on screen at once. I also took a look at the game using the Dolphin Debugger, and the addresses for the gecko code...

Re: SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Well those seem to handle the width & height of the image...something the force 16:9 option would probably do seeing as it needs that to even work. The last line works, as I remember seeing obvious culling at some part, something I can no longer see with the code enabled. The UI is positioned co...

Re: SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
I just did some experimenting and confirmed that the first three lines of the 16:9 code for this also works for Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights. I copied it from Dolphin Wiki. Code I'm using for this: 043D07E0 3F400000 $Vertical Aspect 043D07E4 3F800000 $Horizontal Aspect 043D07E8 3F800000 $FOV Unfo...

Re: Mario Party 7 (GCN/WIIRD/NTSC-U)
Can I request a code for this? Not sure how it'd be done. When it rolls for a duel minigame or any minigame in general(Wheel of Whimsy), can there be a code to set it to only "roll" a specific minigame? Would possibly take fun out of it, but reason here is I have most minigames unlocked ex...

Re: Swiss questions
Do believe you need a hacked memory card to use Wind Waker or whatever other game to boot Swiss. There might be an option to somehow connect your GC memory card to PC at this point to put the hacked save on, but I wouldn't know if it exists. Other option would be PicoBoot. No hacked memory card requ...

Re: F-Zero GX Access AX
ISO patches need to be applied to the disc image on a PC. As far as I know, Swiss doesn't have a built in patcher. In the case of the romhacking link shared by Ralf, you need to use an xdelta patcher. Easy to find. You then patch your iso and put it back on SD card

Re: Swiss Error When Loading Cheat Files
Are the cheat files inside the cheat folder? Dumb question but you didn't seem to word that part very well. However, if that is the case, I believe you need to add a special section at the top of your file. This is how you may need to do it [GM8E01] Metroid Prime [NTSC-U] Try adding the bracket with...

Re: orange GC converted to USA wont play PAL in color
I'm not sure on this, but two things I can think of...one being the converter you're using, the chinese aren't known for their quality a lot of the time. As a replacement(though undoubtedly more expensive)...maybe try the RetroTink 2x SCART? Another issue is it seems you converted your PAL system to...

Well thanks for providing Game ID, I was unaware of it. ID I put in gcncrypt before was "PVE"...guess I should've looked up actual ID first. Here you go:

Re: Action Replay Max codes rejected after I convert code to work on console
Well that code seems to be in "Gecko" code format, not Action Replay. That said, I was able to do this using gcncrypt for you: VGU3-44X8-H5EQF U4EF-QY19-5ADYN P31B-Y90R-WQN6G XDVC-ZCM8-DU8GZ 41UV-BVT1-TCWZZ Z1X0-7R78-M5EYQ 2KDH-EM1E-0AWN0 Try that. I did it for US version, not sure if that...

Oh I see. I was able to find the AR code you're talking about. 2nd page of this topic by Ralf? For some reason I'm having issues quoting posts. It's labeled as "Mag Modifier"...as to what values are to put in, I don't know. Should be in that post. About mid way down the page I think. If by...

Re: Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (GCN/AR/NTSC-U)
I've been contemplating replying to this topic, but I haven't. Your issue is most likely this: while it could be true that the gcncrypt software changes the region/game encoding of the cheat code, what it won't do is modify the memory addresses or positions in the game's code the cheat is trying to ...

OK! So I went out of my way to buy pso classic instead of plus, but now when I put in the codes, in spite of choosing US, they store under European and won't take effect at all... Any advice? ^^; Thanks! Edit- so I tried putting in your mag code thru gcncrypt with 3ff/USA just in case... aside from...

Re: Widescreen NTSC-U Metroid Prime 1 and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Hmmm. Unfamiliar. I don't even have Metroid Prime 1 or 2, but am interested in getting it at some point. I've been researching and finding codes for games I can put on a SD card to play on real hardware. My best guess is maybe both codes were for different versions of the game? Like it's trying to e...

Re: Widescreen NTSC-U Metroid Prime 1 and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
I tried the Widescreen Hack fix combined with the 16:9 code for Metroid Prime on version 1.0, and it still crashes. Also, within the folder structure, the widescreen code for Metroid Prime that I'm using is in the NTSC-U folder located here: "Widescreen Archive\Widescreen Archive\NTSC-U"....
