You mean texture packs like these ones?

Does the texture packer combine the custom textures with the .n64/.z64 game rom to produce a new .n64/.z64 file?

Re: Not64 - Issues loading roms with NAND
Woah, didn't know that, thanks. 10MB equals to ~80 blocks, right? All i know is that saved space from those 2 aforementioned channels comes from the part of the NAND that is inaccessible to the end user (i.e. not the 3500 blocks he has at his disposal, but from the rest that are reserved for the Wii...

Re: Not64 - Issues loading roms with NAND
One quick n easy way to save nand space is to delete Forecast and News channels, as they are unfortunately no longer supported.
Use a program like anytitledeleter to do it.

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Yes it is, as evidenced by what the developers have said multiple times. @ manic.blood: same here, after level 1, Dragon Sword beta rom freezes. Nakata, the developers say the truth. Wait and you will see the next wii64. I think he is waiting the best moment to launch it. Retroarch is here with mup...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
GoldenEye X is completable and a great mod to boot.
40 winks is really dark on No64, better try the inject wad hat is out there. It doesn't save though (original game needed memory pak).
Glover 2 is much better game that the first, looks much better too.
Fighting Force codedumps IIRC.

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Hey, I tried TWINE with the old Not64 version to compare it to the video you posted. You are correct, no sound is present in the old version. :) Also , i noticed that the same demo reel with gameplay of various levels shown is quite slower (30-46 VI/S) on the old version, compared to the one in your...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Right. I suppose you mean level 1 and others. The London subway level and the one with the airport in the woods seem ok (barring invisible Bond hands/gun) in the demo reel. I' ll try latest Not64 with a completed savegame of twine, might do the trick to check later levels. Btw about question 2... ;)...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Very very nice :) :) Rock on man! This is quite a tease as well as a hopeful development for us fans of Wii64/Not64. TWINE, a previously unplayable game, now runs, and quite good at that! 2 questions :) 1)I have recently completed TWINE on PC and some of the later stages have quite large open areas....

"For anyone interested, there is a tool called wii64saveSwap which allows for save conversion of PJ64 saves to Wii64/Not64 ones. It works for .sra and .fla save files from many games." It's just a byte-swapping tool, this can also be done on hex editor Neo. Select operations>Byte Swap. Op...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Haha well done on discovering how to run SW Racer!! ;) Could you be more specific as to how to navigate to the "Hi res" option May be because I'm using a very old version of Not64 which lacks it, must upgrade XD Perhaps you mean "Aspect 4.3/16:9 etc" No man, i am not referring t...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
===I will try changing the res options on SW Racer has anyone had any success??? :/ Yes, of course, i have had success, that's why i mentioned it. This trick also works in Turok Rage Wars. When in Hi-rez mode, it is full screen on Not64, otherwise it is half screen. Btw to avoid glitches in SW race...

nakata, sadly all those new things you mentioned haven't been fixed yet but are high on my list (apart from PD Corona lights as much as I'd want that ;)) Cool, hopefully it comes through :) At the very least, we already have had GoldenEye, Turok and Perfect Dark (sans corona lights ;P, but no big d...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Have faith and patience. Conker sure would be nice, but maybe it is too tall an order for Wii. Personally, i love, LOVE Not64 - for the games it works good - against playing the same games in any other N64 emu, due to controls and display (Wii on a CRT), so any new working game (besides those alread...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Current releases use glN64, next will have glN64/Rice. Nice, thanks. How does Wii/Not64 fare on the slowdown in Star Fox 64? I know that game is kind of a weird case, as it uses slowdown for that dramatic slowdown "effect" when you kill a boss and to make Aquas playable. The original VC r...

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Hey guys! Two recend findings: Turok 1 blackscreens when loading level 4. It plays every other level and boss. Also, Shadowman 64 blackscreens during the intro (when Legion meets Jack the Ripper), however the intro is skippable and the game is playable otherwise. Finally, Starfox64 via Not64 blows a...

The best way to run this great hack is the inject wad (Wii Channel WAD [1.2]) , which runs perfect from what i can tell.

Re: Wii64 discussion?
Yep! Also, since i am on a PAL Wii, both OoT and Majora's mask play faster on Not64 for me (60hz) than the VC wads. There are some visual glitches like the sky in 2nd day of MM for example, but savestates, 60Hz and controls (wiimote & nunchuck ftw) make me prefer Not64.

Since the other thread got locked due to the antics of some unhealthily persistent folks, i (foolishly?) open this thread to inquire and talk about Wii64/Not64, from possible recommendations of games that play well and on what settings, technical suggestions for better compatibility etc. BTW, to the...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Enable the playcount option from USB loader GX settings, that's all
Everytime you play a Wii/VC/GC game or a channel, GX will add to that game's playcount.
