Re: Swiss build to play MP3 on launch
I'd suggest you make a pull request if you'd like this ever to be considered for a merge (and it'd need to be gated behind an option and work for more than 32KB of data). Without that, people are either going to rely on you for unofficial builds (which we won't support) or they'll be stuck on an out...

Re: A few questions about wii64 1.3
I'm tempted to remove all game hacks again after thinking about this some more :P 1. Top Gear games, don't work in dynarec, might as well find the real issue. 2. Knife Edge will soft lock https://github.com/project64/project64/issues/284#issuecomment-1013797144 3. Pokemon Snap has other issues so no...

Re: Trouble Copying More than One File in Swiss
There's an issue already for this: https://github.com/emukidid/swiss-gc/issues/514
I'll add what's missing at some point soon.

Re: A few questions about wii64 1.3
Regarding Top Gear Overdrive / Hyper Bike, the dynarec has significantly changed from 1.1 as have other parts of the emulator which deal with accuracy (for the better in most cases) but clearly not in this case. Pokemon Snap requires proper framebuffer emulation. Winback, I can probably port it to R...

Re: A few questions about wii64 1.3
1. I've reinstated gamehacks.c and added a Pilot Wings shadow fix + Winback square fix under glN64. This didn't seem to fix Top Gear games though. 3. I'm not so sure about this, he tweaked some buffer sizes and wait conditions in gc_audio.c but I'd gated those to only apply on the wiivc builds so th...

Re: SD2SP2 versions
They're all going to do the same thing, some are directly wired from what I've seen. No real difference other than quality, try to steer clear of hand assembled ones, I've seen some nasty SD card slot soldering when done by hand

Re: Qoob Pro Corrupted banks
Corrupted just means their software can't identify the contents of the banks, just try to write the qoob bios to it and see if it comes good? If it doesn't then I'd see if you can maybe swap the flash after trying those hidden options

You've not installed it properly if it can't play cross region games like this.

Re: A few questions about wii64 1.3
1. Where'd you notice they were disabled?
2. Not at this stage, what games?
3. Are you using the WiiVC version on a Wii? That's not supported. If it's on a Wii U, can you detail your setup, are you unlocking the CPU multiplier?

What is it that it requires to be an ISO and why can't you just load it as a DOL in Swiss from a disc or other device?

Re: ~ The Homeland Project ~
I have been doing a LOT of work on HomeLand over at https://github.com/BttrDrgn/GCN-Translations and have written a writeup on how to easily edit strings and other data in every iso that is supported by this project. Everything is seamless and very efficient for developing mods. Very cool, I'd seen...

I'm using:
What happens exactly when you run a game?
You should disable -flto in the main makefile.
with the latest libogc2 git + libfat (https://github.com/extremscorner/libfat)powerpc-eabi-gcc (devkitPPC release 39) 11.1.0

Re: AR codes - quick reference
I meant injecting cheat codes into the SDML cheat database or loading them from SD card, but you might as well just try and see how it goes in Swiss instead (the cheat engine is a thing that tends to break often as it clashes with things we do in our patches/etc). Or I think the last one you could a...

Re: Xeno Mod on a Japanese GC
Are the games above original or backups? If backups, it's possible the laser is going or the backups are bad (if they always error in the same spot). I don't recall how good XenoGC is at region switching, perhaps Geist is trying to run in Japanese or is becoming confused about what region to display...

Hey! :) First of all - thanks for this overview and all the amazing content that's been added here over the decades (holy)!! Now - not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a way to get around the AR code limit? I'm referring to the "code meter" mentioned in the Datel manua...

I've never tested it on vWii so you're probably running into issues caused by the nuances of the simulation of certain Wii things. Other homebrew might be equally effected too when using USB.

Just out of my curiosity: where can I buy a replacement capacitor when mine goes dead? Better: is actually a thing to buy standalone? Re: troubles to detect games at first start-up
I don't, but any surface mount capacitor replacement video should be helpful enough, after that it's just a matter of matching up the right ones to replace them from the kit. If this is beyond your skill level it might be easier to just buy another used drive (people are selling them these days caus...

Re: Swiss on Wii Modchips?
Wiikey2 is a drive chip that injects code to allow backup discs to be accepted, so no, this won't work. Yes! I'm aware however I merely was bringing up the chip as an option if Swiss can be flashed onto it. Surely if the chip was flashed with different code, that would not make it a drive chip anym...
