Re: NINTENDONT: WiiU loading Game Cube games

Tried the Wind Waker alpha demo version and followed the instructions exactly, I get nothing but a black screen as if the Wii turned off. I even tried two different SD card brands. Anyone else having this problem?

I've heard of that loader, I thought it was just a DVD-R loader. Now I know, thanks.

Re: Goals for Swiss 0.4

are you talking about in Swiss itself or in games booted from Swiss? In the games booted from Swiss, just a suggestion as it sounds pretty complicated having to mess with the graphics and all. It would be cool to have it in Swiss too. Personally I want to thank you for releasing the best GameCube t...

Re: Starting Swiss (or other DOL) using Action Replay codes?

Thanks! It now works again! And swiss is better than SDLOAD itself. Ahh I get it, you just cut off a few bytes from the dol header to get it to boot. It's attached to a DOL relocator and the header of that is stripped to be exact. Oh okay, you aren't upset with me are you? I noticed you haven't rep...

Re: Starting Swiss (or other DOL) using Action Replay codes?

Well, if you're really that lazy I packed 2 nightly builds here, the latest kinda broken one (r240) and the latest good one (r221) 'converted' into SDBOOT. If you have problems with the SD card, I recomend using HDD Low Level Format Tool to wipe the partitions then format it with FAT32 Format . Alw...

mark_k, if you're still interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uKiAXQMpbE Check changes in SVN here: http://code.google.com/p/swiss-gc/source/detail?r=239 Is there a way to download it emu? I can't get sdload to boot anymore and maybe swiss would work instead. You don't seem to have a problem ...

Downloaded, but it gives me an error with my 16 GB SanDisk flash drive (write error, 1.0.4 does not). Works good on my 4 GB Gigaware (RadioShack) flashdrive.

Great work though, love the GX gui.

Re: Goals for Swiss 0.4

Hey emu, was wondering something. I just got Genesis Plus GX 1.7.4 for Wii & GC & I noticed an option that I have seen in Smash Bros. Melee. An option to turn off the de-flicker filter off, I know it makes the screen a bit shaky but it would be cool if swiss could do this. Could this be a po...

Wired controllers should stay in the last decade where they belong. You can pry my wired controllers out of my cold, dead hands! I like not having to worry about batteries. Plus the Wifi/Motion Plus kill batteries very quickly. I can only play Skyward Sword about maybe 3-4 hours before the batterie...

Thank you for clearing that up, excellent progress dude. Which revision is it? I need to change the name of the DOL.

The main SD card I use for swiss a Wallgreens brand 8 GB SDHC class 2, although copying to is slower than my SanDisk.

I'd like to see this Extrems version, do you have a link? :P I think I read extrems, unless it's one of yours. It can browse files on a GC disc & it played my fragmented NFS MW ISO which couldn't be de-fragmented because of low SD space. Please correct me if it's yours, if it's not an extrems v...

Thanks for the reply's.

I haven't seen the changelog for the Extrems version of swiss 0.3 but I think it has fragmented file support, it also has a disc browser & can extract files.

Sorry to be going so much off-topic.

Another idea for Swiss, ability to emulate memory card slot B as slot A to avoid "Wrong device inserted in slot A" errors. This way it thinks that slot B is actually slot A. what would be the benefit of that? Wrong device inserted in slot A, so you can use an actual memory card in slot B ...

It should work every time, but as I recall there were issues with the newer versions of AR that made it less stable and the memory card used. What SD adapter are you using? This one: https://dx.com/p/wiikey-sd-card-adapter-for-wii-3993 The AR I use is 1.14A, the last one to have code input. Maybe t...
