Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog

To get to the heatsink, i want to trimm it just like you did here: https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/download/file.php?id=3132 Hope that this will cool down the guce enough, but i saw this kind of trim many times so i guess it's fine. But how did you cut it down so nicely? i just got a dremel so i g...

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog

All that stuff you listed for the batteries looks good, Just make sure to wire them properly when you get all of it. If you don't know, its always best to ask in the case of working with these types of batteries. That case also looks pretty nice. :D Great! Thanks :) You don't need to install an aud...

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog

Yea, what i ment is to combine 4 Packs, 2 in serial and the 2 and 2 in parallel so i would get double mAh and double voltage. Yea i was thinking about Battery packs, too. The bad thing about batterys is just, if they are cheap, they suck and if they are great, they are just to expensive to "pla...

Re: Bluechip V9 IDE-EXI Error

Ok, on the 3.5" it was my fault, wrong FAT format ^^

But it sucks that my nice little 2.5" isn't working :(
Still thanks a lot for everything :) looking forward for DMA

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog

Thanks :) These packs are looking good.. Even if the most supplyers don't tell how much mAh they have.. I saw one about 2000mAh.. so i would need 4, to get to 14.8V and 4000mAh.. which should be fine for the beginning... What does "reconfigure" mean? I guess i can't just solder 2 in serial...

Re: Bluechip V9 IDE-EXI Error

Make sure device is on Master all the time and not CS or Slave. Yes, Sir! Try using 40/80pin see if it makes any difference? I don't hope that i have to solder a whole 80-Pin cable >.< I will first try to improve the ground connection and check if all the wires are connected correctly. So much to d...

Re: Still not working...

I'm having the "black screen" problem on mine homemade ide-exi, too. But it's more a "green screen" :/ So then I read I had to jumper to MASTER and that did the trick. Need to have a try on that for my 3.5" HDD :) Do you have any additional files on your harddrive or did you...

Sooo, after i "fixed" my trimmed board (Wrong Composite pin for PAL ) i can finally start with my portable GC Project. I have no idea if i can or will finish this project, since i suck at case construction and never worked with batterys before. In addition I'm a pretty unpatient pers...

Tryed an other 3.5" HDD yesterday. But he didn't seem to recognise it. Activity lights up but he just says "ideb:" and dosn't show any files, even if the HDD wasn't the fastest on the PC, i can see the .iso there... I will check the wireing if i have time, and work on a better ground ...

Re: GameCube Fusion Rev. 3

If i would know that.. I did your cut for the rev. c but i left the psu-part as it was.. All Voltages are OK. I sanded every site nicely now.. powered the audioamp with 12V.. I reconnected the RTC-Crystal (do i have to?) and wired up the composite video and one audio channel (just to make shure)... ...

Re: Bluechip V9 IDE-EXI Error

I would say your cables are too long. that could be why the games arent loading. by the way on your bluechip are still parts that have to be desoldered. The cable is about 30cm.. Also I checked the parts, seems to be ok, the ones that were connected to the importent lines where removed. _Nold_, you...

Bluechip V9 IDE-EXI Error

Hi, my bluechip arrived today, so i could build my ide-exi today.. I patched it with the Bluechip Firmware from yamaharacer. Everything seems to be fine at first, swiss shows iso's, patches them and starts them. The problem is, that after the swiss screen disappears, the hdd isn't in read anymore an...

Convert dol to gcb file?!

Hi, to make it short: I want to build a custom GCOS for my Qoob Pro and i want to use it instead of the official bios. So.. how do i build a .gcb file from GCOS source / convert it from gcos.dol? Basicly the header is pretty easy (http://hitmen.c02.at/files/yagcd/yagcd/chap14.html#sec14.4), could co...
