Re: SoftMod - New Action Reply Disc
The SD media launcher may work, but you probably will go on to another way of loading SWISS rapidly. Plus, the µSD card adapter is known for its bad quality. At least, this will be a way to get access to SWISS first to set up any other exploit you may use in the future. Memcards are not hard to find...

Re: SoftMod - New Action Reply Disc
There are many games that can be exploited these days, don't bother with SD media Launcher if you can get ahold of a RVL-001 WII just to put the saves needed on a memcard.

Re: And years later I've cleared Ocarina of Time on NGC
Can you tell us the difference, if you see one, between playing this game on the N64 and playing it on the NGC? (controller handling, loading times…) The latter machine we have home is the Wii, and my son's friends who have up to date systems in their houses come here and enjoy playing the GameCube....

Re: Hello, everyone!
I have to say this is a nice games selection, especially if you can read Japanese. I don't have this many units, but I have GBPlayers to match my three colours, Black, Indigo, and Silver, all PAL flavour, the latter only beeing Dol-101 (I have HDMI, RGB, and RF cables). If you have a CRT with RGB in...

Re: Hello, everyone!
Looks more like a stockpile of GCNs than a plain variety collection.
Are you afraid of disfunctions this much?
How many are really in working order? How many have the minimum kit accessories? (at least one PSU/video cable/controller)
What are those flavors? (US/JAP/PAL, DOL-001/101)

Re: HDMI internal mod dol-101
Due to the pluto boards' prices getting sky high, we may have better buying a cheap gc plug to rip off its enclosure and 3D printed connector to direct solder it, then hide it in the case's cavity where the DC regulator's board used to be on the DOL-001, and deport the hdmi out with a little mini to...

Re: Zelda OOT and MM tgc images
Don't bother, OOT on the MQ disc and OOT from the collector's don't share the same savefile. ;) Quite interesting if not just an impression, I may look into extracting TGC maybe. Shorter loading times? I have a Chinese knockoff controller which rumble doesn't work anymore, as a bonus, it's the one I...

Re: Any decent knock off component cables?
Thanks Papy.G - we are both from Europe - do you have a decent HDMI adapter I can buy over here which wouldn't require me selling a kidney? :D I got one from Amazon last year and trashed it after testing it, was worse than the default composite cable output. Well, you probably stumbled upon an anal...

Re: Zelda OOT and MM tgc images
Nintendo... If creating the TGC wasn't enough to save the number of discs, it also saves on TGCs. It also saves on saves, as there are no distinct saves between OOT and MQ, that's why the OOT forcing is of limited interest, you can play OOT with the collector's edition's TGC anyways. Except OOT/MQ ...

Re: Nintendont
If there's no specific reason why you need to use Nintendon't rather than SWISS, go for SWISS as you can get back to it with a buttons shortcut from most games. I think I have seen a menu forwarder for SWISS laying around somewhere, If you don't want (or can't) go the Save Exploit way. Imagine havin...

Re: Seeking racing wheel for Pole Position II
Unfortunately, Pole Position games are from another era, and the way the wheels worked on those games' arcade cabinets isn't very much compatible with The GC era's ones. I'm not that old, but I used to play those games on the real hardware back in the days. We had a little video game room close to t...

Re: The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time & Master Quest (GCN/WIIRD/PAL)
Prepare the media with igr.dol at the root, either a forwarder to Swiss or a copy of it. In the settings, set igr to get back to swiss. Then, you have swiss video setting, put it to 576p,. You now can press the three buttons combination from in-game to get back to swiss (used to work less from the g...

Re: The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time & Master Quest (GCN/WIIRD/PAL)
It would have been nice if it just ignored the 50Hz flag as the NTSC titles, but as there's no good reason why you would prefer 50Hz over 60Hz on pal titles that support it, here's the trick:
Just set Swiss's video mode to 50Hz, then perform an IGR before turning off the console.

Re: Video Output for SWISS All Games Black Screen
You have to try to run emulators from the SD cards, but at this point, it seems like you have a problem with your formatting utility; try to erase the full media, and format as one part where the first and only partition is the main big volume. Other than that, it may be a Picoboot issue, where it a...

Re: Any decent knock off component cables?
Short answer: No The cheap way to upgrade quality is using the internal video generator, so you may use mini-DIN or Japanese Scart-21 (if it exists) S-Video cable on NTSC units, and RGB SCART (PERITEL) on PAL units. This is if you use consumer-grade CRT or low-def. LCD panel. If you're using bigger ...

Re: How to get Japanese exclusive trophy in PAL version of Melee
Pal Versions of Melee specifically don't match the NTSC ones, it may happen that those japanese specific boni are just not present among the Pal game's files. If they ever are, someone may be able to find an AR code to force it to appear.

Yes, Picoboot can use the SD2SP2 (You'll still need SD Gecko for some older homebrews.
Anyways, you can get the Picoboot installed, it may be wiser. (And maybe rip off the Xeno in the same round.)
Everything can get along, each one has its own slot.

Yes! Lucky you are, there is now picoboot, if you still don't want to set up a game exploit. (you can run GCMM on a Wii through letterbomb exploit to set this up)
