The Donkey Kong Country games on GBA usually had audio stuttering during loading levels (even on older versions), and now the stuttering is gone.
There's no connection. The entire ROM is loaded into RAM.

Last thing on my mind: what's "ahb_access" for? It's almost on every meta.xml for Wii homebrew that I have, but I really don't know what it does.
It's only used for the aspect ratio control on Wii U.

I see. I thought it streamed from whatever device it was in, but whatever the case, it's better in the newer versions XD.

And since I don't have a Wii U, it makes no difference for me. Thanks for the quick reply!

I read the mGBA history to find that it supports GB multiplayer from v0.6.0. Does it mean we can play multiple linked cores at the same time? or that we can link to a GB or another emGBA on GC via a cable through controller ports (or maybe SP2, that is electrically closer to GB link connection)?

Save state does not work properly in Kirby Dream Land 2 and Super Mario Land 3 in the latest version of the emulator. The windows version has no problems.

Arguments are not working for me in the latest releases, they work fine in version 20200609

The issue is limited to the Wii. I forgot about a small detail.

I am having a slight issue with this.

I am able to get the emulator to load from my SD Gecko (In Slot B), but am unable to proceed beyond this:

Image

Pressing anything on my Gamecube Controller does nothing, with the exception of B or X (Which causes a hard reset).

As I am a bad and have a DOL-101, I am unable to verify if this happens on a SP2 device.

emGBA.dol is in the root of the SD, but the roms are not. Placing a GBA rom in the root yielded no difference.

Turns out it was my SD Card. I was using a 64 GB SDXC card (as I have my gamecube ISOs on the same card), and assumed it would work without issue.

Any chance of SDHC/XC support in the future? Sorry for the ramblely nature of this post - I was actively troubleshooting as I wrote it.

EDIT: is it also possible to link this to a GBA/GBP? Like for GBA to GC shennigans/Pokemon related things/Netbattles on megaman Battle Network?

SDHC/XC cards are supported, but exFAT is not. No other application than Swiss support exFAT.

All you need to do is extract the archive to the root directory.

I did that and still crashes at black screen when loading the emGBA.

Maybe it's a issue? Because it doesn't happen with old version of Enhanced mGBA of 18-11-2020.

Okay, I forgot to say this... have you tested you emGBA on Dolphin Emulator?

Can I run enhanced mGBA on Dolphin Emulator?

I'm testing it in Dolphin since i don't have real Wii/Wii U hardware for use it, i'm using Dolphin 5.0-15262 and the graphics motor used is Direct3D 12.

Only emGBA version of 18-11-2020 works, latest versions it crashes at blackscreen.

PD: Your Not64 emulator (version v20210829) runs fine on Dolphin Emulator. I have this issue only on your emGBA v20210326.

Neither Not64 nor emGBA can run in Dolphin. They fail the Wii application heuristic.

The GameCube versions hang due to an emulation inaccuracy.

That's strange with Not64 on Dolphin... In my case, Not64 loads and runs fine on Dolphin, I played a few games with Not64 on Dolphin and all of them worked great.
EDIT: I'm using your latest release of Not64 (v20210829) and my Dolphin loads it and can run it, just set audio to DSP LLE recompiler, enable MMU, disable all EFB temporal fixes, disable "save XFB copies as read-only" option and it should run in Dolphin.
(Dolphin Emulator actually can run most homebrew apps and software, including emulators.)

Only trouble i have is in latest release of emGBA.

I can't provide you any support for running my software in Dolphin. It's only made for real hardware.

Oh ok, that's too bad...

But here's my Dolphin settings for run successfully Not64 on Dolphin:

Oh, and also i have graphics motor on Direct3D 12 and emulation motor used is JIT x86-64 recompiler.

Hi Extrems! I left a request for Enhanced mGBA on Wiibrew, and then I realized the discussion for emGBA was here. My mistake. I copy+pasted it below:
Hi Extrems. I love your work with Enhanced mGBA. I was wondering if you could add rapid fire support to the emulator, as well as (maybe) settings that are game-specific.

For example, I've been playing Pokémon Blue recently using WiiMednafen, which is great and all, but it lacks color support. Enhanced mGBA, and vanilla mGBA, both do display the colors properly, but they lack the rapid fire support that WiiMednafen has. Since the GB/GBC do not have L+R shoulder buttons, I am able to set Wiimote A and B buttons to rapid fire A and B, respectively. This would also be helpful in Pokémon Ruby (GBA), as the shoulder buttons are never used in that game, but I wouldn't want to set Wiimote A and B to rapid fire A and B for GBA globally, only for that game.

It would be so helpful if you could add these two features to Enhanced mGBA!
Thank you.

@Extrems Another small feature I thought would be a nice addition to emGBA, albeit small and, well, more of a novelty, would be a setting to have the game audio come out of the Wiimote instead of the TV. I think it would give it a little more of an authentic Game Boy experience. I don't know of any other homebrew that utilizes the Wiimote's built-in speaker (although I don't doubt some exist).

Thanks for your reply, @Extrems

Did you have a chance to see the previous message I posted earlier? I didn't use the "@" symbol for your name, so it may have not notified you. If you did see it, there's no rush.

Cheers!

I am trying to run MGBA emulator on GameCube via Swiss. When I run the emulator, I get a message that says Select File and a timer, but it doesn't show my game files or folder. My mgba emulator is stored in the mgba folder in the swiss sd card, and inside that folder is my roms folder. Why is it not seeing my roms folder? My GameCube is DOL-001 and it has a PicoBoot mod installed. My SD card is formatted as exFAT. Is that the reason?

Emulator stored here
G:\MGBA
Roms are stored here
G:\MGBA\roms

exFAT support is limited to Swiss and iplboot. Nothing else supports it.

Should I format the sd card as NTFS or FAT32?
