50% success on my order. only one of the ordered chips has a xilinx!
please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

yamaharacer, I'm not entirely sure what your setup is, but are you providing 3.3v to the chip when you try to program it?

that's quite strange.. I wasn't using the Parallel Port programmer, I went and bought a xilinx USB based version.

Can you scan the chain at all?

I've attached it. Let me know how it goes. Remember it has the same compatibility as 0.3 (not so great).

does anybody know which filesystem i need to format the hdd? which position does the jumper need to be? i have format it to fat32 and set the jumper master.

after i have started sdboot it ends up in a screen which says:

Code: Select all

Scanning IDE Interface.....
Drive 0: 2199164MB LBA=-1
Drive 0: 2181983MB CHS mode C=65535 H=255 S=255
LBA mode active
Model:
Serial:

most of the time it also boots up into sdboot. but there i cant see any games. i have put them into GCGAMES folder was that right?
