3DS Thread!

Post by iggunr » Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:23 pm

So, has any gc-forever user got this console yet?
A lot of people were a little disappointed by Nintendo only releasing remakes, however I finally got convinced and bought mine, I've been playing Zelda oot and it's been awesome!
I also like streetpass, it's really funny when suddenly other dudes appear in your 3ds after a long walk, this machine also has a LOT of built-in stuff.
So, is there any 3ds owners around here? :)
Let's discuss 3ds and also exchange friend codes

I don't have one yet, but I might buy one after new years with Mario Kart.
I'm really excited about Animal Crossing and Paper Mario on the 3DS though, but still no release dates? :(

I haven't got one, still plenty of DS games i need to finish so i'm in no rush. Plus i'm hoping for a revision of the hardware.
I did buy the special edition of Ocarina of Time and have played a demo of it before it's release.
Has anyone tried Rayman 3DS? from what i can see it's based on Rayman 2 which is an amazing game

Nah, I haven't got one yet, my nephew will probably get one before me so I'll end up using his :)
Does anyone know if there's any news of a 3DS Emulator in the making. I've had a quick look around but it seems most of them are fake.?

I bought 2 Ambassador systems about a month ago for my kids at Christmas time. They'll also get Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land.

Now that the 3ds can record and play 3d videos, has anyone been able to transcode 3d youtube videos (or any kind of 3d videos) and play them from the 3ds? I'm trying, but I have some problems with ffmpeg.

transcoding instructions: http://3dsforums.com/nintendo-3ds-3/tut ... eos-29420/

why should we care about all this? here are some hints... (gamecube related )

A month ago I was able to encode 3d youtube videos and play them on my 3ds, but I forgot about this thread.
Unfortunately, the encoded videos are HUGE in size, so I decided to upload some MPO's instead.
These are some screencaps of f-zero gx in 3d thanks to some extra code for the dolphin emulator, more info on the videos I linked on my previous post.
After seeing those images one can only imagine how awesome a f-zero for the 3ds could be...

If you guys are interested, I can make some screencaps of other games, just point me to the videos and I'll do all the tedious work ;)
