what version of swiss are you using for testing?

first you need to validate the IDE-EXI you got works...i recommend you do the following:
disconnect the adapter and sata hdd....put em away for now
get an IDE HDD and try that first

if you have any browser contents in showing in swiss under IDE-EXI, then you have validated 3 things:
1. the version of swiss you are using is working properly to display file browser contents
2. the IDE-EXI device works
3. the HDD works and is formatted properly

once you meet these three criteria, then you can swap out the IDE HDD or SATA HDD
