Just tested muldidisc iso swap via 2 SD card swap trick and it works! Simply wire a switch in between pins 23(wii) and Pin12(GC). No .iso modification necessary!

I'll say this much if you can produce something with about 3 hours battery life you'll have a payment from me for one of these.
If I can afford it at the time.

Ashen,
I'd go up to $10 a piece I suppose. Maybe also get a quote for 50 connectors too if possible.
Also, how did you have the files on the SD card named when you did the swap?

I'll let you know when I hear back from them. I asked more out of curiosity than anything.
The files I have tested with multidisc so far were named like this:
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings (Disc 1).iso
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings (Disc 2).iso
i'm not really sure it matters how they are named though. I believe that the wiikey goes by the first 6 characters of the game's disc ID. For all the multidisc games I've put on my SD cards so far WBFS manager 4.0 will not let me add disc1 and disc2 of the same game to the same SD card. The disc id's for disc 1 and 2 are always the same in WBFS manager except that disc 2 gets appeneded with some unicode character after the first 6 characters.
ex:
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings (Disc 1).iso will come up as disc ID = xoxoxo
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings (Disc 2).iso will come up as disc ID = xoxoxo[]
I'm pretty sure that the wiikey guys meant for it to work this way. the switch I have wired may not be needed at all. I'll post more results when I'm off work tonight.

Yeah, Wiikey Fusion finally works on my silver NTSC-J Gamecube with IPL 1.1. Here comes the pic.
It seems that Wiikey Fusion is incompatible to IPL 1.0.

or is it just DOL- 001 - REV - A?

Awesome bearteam! I'm glad its working for you finally
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Hopefully NTSC IPL1.0 is the only one we'll find incompatible.

It seems it doesn't matter for PAL cubes anyway. IPL v1.0 PAL is working.

Updated pinout/pinmatch in megaguide. Cleaned things up a bit also. Still testing SD swap trick method for multidisc games.
Edit: ok so SD swapping seems to work for all multidisc games, there is however a catch.
When adding games to SD card it seems that the Wiikey uses whatever "slot" the game is loaded to to identify what image to mount if the SD card is removed and reinserted during gameplay. So if on one card you have 5 games and on another card you have 3 games and the multidisc game you are playing ends up in a different slot than it is on the first SD card. The trick will not work. Ex:
SD card 1:
1. game x
2. game c
3. game v(disc1)
SD card 2:
1. game v (disc2)
2. game p
This will not work! The game needs to be in the same "slot" as such:
SD card 1:
1. game x
2. game c
3. game v(disc1)
SD card 2:
1. game q
2. game p
3. game v(disc2)
4. game r
This would work. However I'm not 100% sure how WBFS manager arranges things on the card and why. Honestly the best way I can say to play a multidisc game this way is to just go buy two 2gb SD cards and put disc 1 on one of them and disc 2 on another.

isn't that one a 36 pin connector, and the ribbon a 32 pin connector?
/me confused...
(i'm waiting on my wiikey fusion to order the newhaven adapter... that one looks really easy to deal with as far as the soldering is concerned...)
Thanks,

That adapter will work fine. You'll just have to make sure the ribbon cable is seated to one side or the other properly. As the ffc cable wont fill the whole connector.

IPLs:
PAL v1.0 (ALL DOL-001 EUR) work fine
PAL v1.1 (ALL DOL-101 EUR) not tested

good, ordered.
now, with that in mind, is this the connector that would be needed for building the adapter board for this thing?
http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Hir ... 2nIHrwU%3D
there is a 32 contact connector, and it appears to be less than $3 shipped. I can't believe we can't make a small run of PCBs for that connector for less then $20...
I'll ask some friends about making the PCBs,... maybe i can get some of that done around here...

The part that is the issue is the male connector for the GC DVD drive. If someone could find that connector with the pins attached I could easily solder up 100+ of them to an adapter board in a day or two.
Alas, the dvd connector is nowhere to be found. Therefor no solderless adapters.

The one labeled CN101 on the bottom of the optical drive assembly board? in the corner?
