SD2SP2 Homebrew support?

Post by andre104623 » Sun Jun 07, 2020 11:07 am

Hey everyone its been a while I was working on switch "projects" for the pass couple years but got around to soldering one of these new SP2 PCBs thank you 3000psi! But anyway I can't load any homebrew like snes, Nes, sega, N64, ISOs on the other hand work good like really good really fast like wiikey fusion fast which is a shame because I really wanted to test N64 games. Glad to see these new projects popping up I ordered some more stuff to test from OSHpark and now there doing flex PCB!. So if there is some version I need to be using can someone piont me in the right place I remember to get my IDE-EXI to work I had to use versions made for it speaking of which what happend to IDE-EXI V2 firmware last I heard it was almost done

I know the SD cards are slimmer and sufficient in speed and size nowadays, but just out of curiosity, is or will be IDE-EXI support extended to SP2, just in case someone wanted to build such an adapter?

Andre, while the 8-16bit era emuators are running very well on the Cube, don't put too high expectations on the N64 side. ;)

To be honest I was really surprised at the development in 4 years I been gone I left right after gcvideo just came out and I made a few of them then took a break. I really can’t believe how fast sp2 is and gcloader also very cool. I’ve knew about hyperboot since 2014 surprised it’s taken so long to be announced and still not released

It's not that much slower than SD2SP2, and there's room for optimization.
