Need help modding

I just found a DOL-101 model and need some guidance on where to start for hardmods, I'm pretty handy with soldering so I can take care of that.

Just want to see what options there are since I lack the sp2 and digital output. Any clues will help.

I'm looking to use the XenoGC primarilly but dont know what to bootload from, whether its a cd or a gecko. Anything will do

TIA

Use picoboot. You can restore SP2 or just get a memory card slot based SD reader.

There's even kits out there to restore the digital out port on this model if you wish to do so.

Is that preferred over the XenoGC? How would i launch Swiss for example? Would it be through a bootdisk or direct from a SP2 add-on

PicoBoot is much more convenient than XenoGC. It'll autoboot Swiss from SD card. No need for a boot disk. It's also very cheap.

So I guess I could have swiss and all my rom's on the same drive then correct?

Yes, you just need SD card adapter like SD Gecko or SD2SP2 and FAT32 formatted memory card. Here is the documentation: https://github.com/webhdx/PicoBoot/wiki ... tion-guide
