Is this worth it?

Post by Shuller » Tue Feb 07, 2023 12:09 am

I recently tried modding my gamecube with a xeno gc, long story short it was a ripoff chip and i fried my disc drive. I want to get a gc loader to replace it but it takes so long to restock and my gamecube is unusable until i get one. I found a disc drive with a xeno gc pre-installed that comes with a sd gecko and a swiss boot disc all for $85 on ebay; is that worth the price? Also does anyone know how long it takes for gc loaders to restock? I would rather a gc loader but it just takes so long.

The xeno gc sure is not worth killing disc drives anymore.

Would it be so hard to get the drive working again?

Better is to use a game exploit while waiting for the gc loader to restock, or go for the picoboot, that don't need any disc to boot.

You can either get another gamecube or a RVL-001 Wii in the meantime (if you don't care about GBPlayer and sd2sp2 and need a way to get game save exploits on your memcards).

Zelda WW with Tingle Tuner in split screen was what the GC RF modulator was made for! (Video)
