Wii U and Retrode with SNES 9x GX

Post by Diminuendo » Sat Nov 09, 2013 1:37 am

I'm having an issue with SNES games and my first revision retrode playing on homebrew. SNES9x GX will read my saves off the cartrage but not actually save to the cartrage. The homebrew channel, Wii U and retrode are all using the latest firmware. Does anyone have a solution to this?

figured it out, the retrode doesn't allow writing savegames to the cartrage by defult, you just need to change a value in the CFG file

nice, do you think the retrode is worth it? I've always put off buying it due to the price.

sorry for the late reply, it's worth it for the wii U with one cravat: it will ask you to format it every time you turn on the console (it's considered a hard drive for all intents and purposes.)

I will hopefully be fixing this soon bay adding a latch switch!

Impressive, what a great idea I will keep this in mind. Hopefully my old SNES has a few more years in 'er
but keeping all the cartridges, in a single flashcart is a good alternative.
Thank you for the ideas

this is actually the opposite, the retrode lets you plug in super nintendo carts via USB
