Nowadays, there are so many better ways to run Isos on GC that except those who have already set up all the necessary bits to burn GC discs still do, newcomers go for flash medias.
Burning discs is not worth the hassle (Plus the risk to kill a laser module).
DMG/MultiFreq OC/EDGB/EZF Jr, AGB/SC miniSD, NTR/NeoMK3, USG/flashme V8/SC miniSD

what brand of dvd. is it mini dvd or full dvd?
see that the ideal brand is the ridata mini.
you should notice you use 2x speed
Xeno gamecube's best and beloved mini dvds are the darkest purple mirrors...
there's a problem too, you'll often have to burn a Japanese ISO from Swiss instead of the US. for USA cubes.
your laser calibration could also be the cause, but then you will have to open the console.
and as Papy.G said, xeno causes optical drive death over time...
but if you want to play..
try the details there.

Apologies to bump. But with the right media and adjusting the laser of your GC, everything should work as planned.
