Hey! Thanks for that! Can the directory be checked in the future in case you update it? Or is there a utility to make bootable GC discs with various types of DOLs?

I won't be keeping it current, but if you'd like to make your own, you can use the instructions here: http://www.retrorgb.com/gameboyinterface.html#makedisc

@extrems, I'll try 480i mode when I get into the office. Thanks for all your responses.

Just flashed the newest swiss and all gameboy Interface versions to my qoob pros internal flash storage. Swiss works but when I launch any gbi Version from swiss I will only get a blank screen. Normal LL and ULL. Everything black only...

Are you using a component cable? Some TVs don't support 240p mode from component, which Extrems says is the gbi default setting.

Not in the standard version, the default there is either 480i, 480i2x, 480p, 576i, 576i2x or 576p.

Well, i am still waiting for my gc rgb cable. So I hooked up the cube via composite to my framemeister which connects via hdmi to my tv.
I also did burn an disc image with swiss and gbi on it, where I can choose different display modes but i still did not have look.
Only black screens for some settings and no signal messages by the tv on others...

Can you open your Game Boy Player to check your board revision? (DOL-GBS-XX)

For low latency version:
  • Added zoom & rotate.
  • Added reset delay.
  • Added reset combo.

I now got my rgb cable... The picture is great with my Framemeister but i still did not manage GBI to work. While playing with the launch setting in swiss i managed to get some different results feom the black picture. For example when i Run LL Version with pal 60 in 480i i get a crash dump. (attachment)
I dont know if it is a step back or forward but at least I got a picture.

OH with the RGB cable ULL version now works!!

Yikes, that's a L2 cache double bit error. Your CPU might have a defect.

The low-lag version looks great on my plasma now with just a very small 1.125x zoom. The oversampling scaler looks really nice, though doesn't look good with scanlines added by GCVideo. Of course Gameboy games never really had scanlines to begin with. The box scaler looks even worse than bilinear to me though, I wouldn't have thought that would be the case.

Is oversampling effectively rendering at double the resolution and downscaling from there? Or something completely different?

Yes, and box is the reverse. It made some amount of sense with the 2x filters.

Yeah, you're right, but swapping B&A for Y&B is sometimes preferred. Out of curisoity, was your GBi always programmed with Select to Z, or was that something you added after awhile?
Extrems wrote:You didn't show this, but I'm guessing it's reporting all buttons are pressed, and Start + Select in the GBA BIOS cancels cart boot.
Can you see if it work any better in 480i/p?
Still doesn't work, even in 480i. I'm using a PAL GC, not sure if that matters. Honestly though, it's not a big deal...you can't even get these adapters anymore and most importantly, if people with these adapters just boot to GBi without changing the control scheme, they can still use the SNES controller.

It was always this way.

I'm out of ideas then.

That doesn't make any sense.

I know. I can make a quick video if you'd like, to prove I'm not crazy :)

Nah, it's fine. Could be useful with debug output though.

I've released a tool (gbiloader) that can automatically start different versions GBI while simultaneously supporting *.cli config files. This lets you have GBI start automatically when you turn your GameCube on, and still have custom settings like controller schemes or pixel aspect ratios. I've put more information in another post here, which I'll keep up to date with the latest version.

Have a input button for zoom in Low Latency version? I like more palette colors of gba games with this version, but i not using Swiss.
I play directly with Wind Waker Hack in a not modified Gamecube and a Memory Card. I use homebrew app in a old Wii for writting GBI.cgi in a memory card.
You can creat a last version of GBI.gci with GBILL.gci color palette? Or have a way to change cfg in Windows?
Thanks and sorry for my english...

You should use an SD card adapter and launch GBI with Swiss if you want custom configuration, it's easier.

Hi Diminueno!
Because for me use Swiss i need buy a sd reader and a bigger memory card. I have only gray memory card 59 blocks and Swiss is bigger for this.
I play Gameboy Interface normally in my Gamecube with S-Video cable but i cant change any configuration because i dont use Swiss.
In my memory card have a Wind Waker Hack and Game Boy Interface. I using GBI because Zoom, but i like more GBILL because lag and colors.
Thanks again
