nope, but first post says you re waiting feedback from a PAL console to see with signal outputs, well it gives 576i/576p so video mode detects corrctly your console video mode...

MegaLoader v1.3 released

- bugfix affecting longer name searches
- added gnuboy_cube.dol

this will be the last version of MegaLoader in this form
major code rewrites are planned for the next version (no ETA when this will happen)
suggestions and ideas are welcomed while i plan the next direction for MegaLoader

wow, I missed your response to this and thought you weren't interested. I'll start some work tomorrow.

I've been also thinking about doing some custom art for swiss do you think there would be interest in this?

this is the result of me slaving over a hot tablet.

nice render...

i wonder how emu_kidid feels about a possible update to the look of swiss??
he did post one time about looking for someone who can do graphics....dont remember how long ago this was...
if anything, those bottom button icons could still use some help (hehehe)

ill post up some more info later about MegaLoader skin requirements, basically its a 640x480 that needs to be cut into sections with an optional alpha overlay...maybe more...im still working out those details....

Diminuendo, could you put the word "Swiss" on it somewhere and we'll see what it looks like?

quick teaser video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT5DHECAG6k

as i stated before, backgrounds are user selectable...create your own look...
i used gimp to make a shameless OOT background since ive been using basic black for now....

same with the icons, create your own....
also, the icon views can be changed to best suit the background "look"...
still more work to be done....

this time, MegaLoader will only display icons you have on your card...
for example, i included "pong" as a fixed icon, with fixed naming to find the run the dol...
now, you are in control to choose what icons will be displayed and you are in control to add multiple versions of the any emulator or homebrew...

you create the PNG, name it to match the dol
example:
cube64.png = cube.dol
not64.png = not64.dol

you want multiple versions of a homebrew??
example:
swiss-r94.png = swiss-r94.dol
swiss-r214.png = swiss-r214.dol

if you have any ideas, post em

still trying to find a font I like, just to warn you guys though, I'm trained as an animator, not in graphic design. I'll try my best, but I dont have that specialty

MEGA, what are the pixel dimensions of the assets you'd like work on.

If you could save the Gimp file in Photoshop format (psd) and re-upload it, I'd like to try some theme ideas, as well...

Anyway, here's a first "quick & dirty" layout of what I had in mind for this nice little tool.
It's heavily inspired by parts of the theme for Theydons HTPC. And it might be a little too dark for now...

Question: Could something like this be implemented in the upcoming version of MegaLoader?

I love it...
Yes I can easily apply this and might very well be the default theme as I've intended to release something in black/dark..
As I've stated before, megaloader will allow for themes to have a full customization with only a few restraints...I like the idea of user distributable themes which is why I have already created a foundation of code to allow this...

If you have more ideas, post em up...or anyone else

Hmmmm....
Right now it can load pics of a system or a logo of the system...
I assume you are talking about a faded background type of system image...
It's possible...if I loaded a full screen image overlay vs icon only overlay...
