GameCube controller via wiimote

Post by wii_HD » Thu May 09, 2013 10:32 am

I posted these images elsewhere so might as well put them up here.

I understand people have already made such adaptors but now there is a commercial product by Mayflash.

WaveBird works okay just a standard GC controller does.

Neat, but to me the main advantage of being able to use a Gamecube controller would be to not need a Wiimote with batteries.
Hardware: Wii (PAL)
Hardware configuration: System Menu 4.1E, Priiloader
Swiss boot method: Modified Wii Swiss Booter provided by Extrems
Software medium: Retail discs

Any adaptor like this that doesn't let you remap the buttons is a waste of money; there will always be some games that are extremely awkward to play due to the gamecube controller's "unique" layout. For example B and Y are next to each other on a classic controller but are spread apart on the GC controller.
