Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
You can't realistically expect us to do better than PCs.
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
We're barely getting by with HLE, do you honestly expect it to ever compare to a real N64? You'd basically need enough hacks and high level emulation/wrapping up to the point where it's an emulator per game if you want perfection (where it's total chaos under the hood - like the emulators from Nintendo's VC).Chr0n0Tr!gg3r wrote:I have a serious question for Extrems/emu_kidd, I want to know if it's physically feasible for Wii N64 emulation to be perfect down the line or at least near perfect? I'm not asking for a release date or anything like that but I want both or one of your opinions on if you think it's a possibility down the line in the future or if it isn't possible based on what we know about the Wii and its inner workings.
Thanks!

Of course, PC will always be infinitely better for emulation because unlike the Wii, the PC can always be expanded upon and upgraded whereas we are stuck with what we get with the Wii. I was just asking if it was feasible to get it working somewhat perfectly down the line but I already have my answer, thanks.emu_kidid wrote:We're barely getting by with HLE, do you honestly expect it to ever compare to a real N64? Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Well, y'know, we can sure try. Playing Nintendo 64 games on a wii gives off some sort of nostalgia for me, and I love what all you Not64/Wii64 devs are doing here. I sincerely enjoy playing Not64; it occupies hours of my still young life. I started playing the Nintendo 64 when I was 4, and here I am, 10 years later, playing it on my Wii, with my Classic Controller Pro (Which by the way wouldnt've been fixed if it wasn't for Not64). I just want to say, thanks for all that the Not64/Wii64 developers have done. I appreciate and respect what you guys are doing here.
Edit: And you know what the best part about all of it is? Wii64 1.1 already made some milestones with N64:Wii emulation, but Not64 just hit it out of the effing park. I really appreciate all the work that's gone into N64:Wii emulation. I've been playing Wii64/Not64 for around 2 1/2 years now. And still enjoying every moment played on it.

That question is really vague. I think the developers would understand it better if you clarified.Kenten1993 wrote:Has Not64 gotten better?

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Why doesn't the newest Not64 allow for the Raphnet N64 to Gamecube controller adapter?
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Because it's polling at 1000 Hz.

Please can you do something for Cruis'n Exotica? With Cruis'n World works fine, but not with Exotica too, maybe this emulator need of switch the video plugin, a video plugin that could support Exotica... Can you do something please?

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Also, the aspect ratio is so odd in Not64, I see why 16:9 is always recommended but like dude, I use a CRT. lol

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
I see correctly 4:3 mode, but I need support for Cruis'n Exotica... Cruis'n USA is perfect in the VC title, Cruis'n World works perfectly with this emulator... And Exotica? Please...

Hello!
Hey, anyone knows if Zelda Majora's Mask it's running perfectly? When I tried use Wii64 I had got a black screen at certain moment of game (I think it was on Clock Tower, vs Skull Kid). If Not64 run MM perfectly will be nice

I think however you can play Majora's Mask as VC channel. Cruis'n USA isn't supported by NOT64 but for luck is on the VC.
Yeah, is on the VC, available in both PAL and NTSC consoles:

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
But my Wii it's RVL101 model. I need to buy a classic controller or GC controller + adapter, and both is a little expensive and rare to found here :v

I see... However I have the classic controller and not is terrible, the classic controller is less expensive. I've tried with the wiimote with this emulator and doesn't work fine... Buy the classic controller it's better.

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Hey Extrems I made an account just try to get your attention. Could you check out the two games Super Mario Last Impact and OOT 4 player. SMLI is running at 15-20 fps at the big areas and OOT 4 player is just a black screen.
I really appreciate how you made this emulator so I can play all my old school n64 games with a few new ones with all of my friends. We would appreciate it if you looked at this.
Any words on a new update for not 64? or what it entails?
I also sent a message to the twitter of the dude who created SMLI about the problem I am going to give him a link to this thread because he does not have a wii nor does he know what the wii emulation is capable of. Thank you for your time. https://twitter.com/KazeR4300i

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Can you do something for map the left analog with the D-pad? Is possible in the Project 64, many games are bettere with the D-pad but the control is disabled by the software houses.
I want a perfect mapping like in the Project 64, without percentage of sensibility, left D-pad for example have to be simply max left analog stick.

Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Could you possibly just make a version of Not64 that not only fills in the screen properly in 4:3, but goes back to allowing N64 controller adapters? This is literally all I want. Wii64 music sounds so grainy!
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
I don't understand. Was your Wii set to 16:9 at some point? Set Video > Screen Mode to 4:3.
