Not sure if someone suggested this already but when you configure the network you can set it not to disconnect from the internet. I think default might be 10-15 mins
I haven't been online last two days, basically trying to finish Zelda Skyward Sword.

well of course i've done all the obvious and it also happens in situations that wouldn't fit to that option. e.g. i get disconnected while being in a fight etc.
also tried a direct cable connection to my router instead of the wireless bridge that i'm using normally for this room, but that didn't help either...

IP client address conflict???
For example, I have most of my devices with static IP..a few are DHCP.
If I go online with DHCP iPhone sharing same address as static PC I seem to have some connection issues almost about every 10 to 15 minutes because they are fighting each other. Then I remember to turn off PC with same address since I'm not using it.
Just my 2 cents.

My modem is upstairs, laptop downstairs connected to the Internet via wireless, ethernet connection sharing to Gamecube. No problems

That's a pain megalomaniac
Once a DHCP lease has been obtained and an IP address allocated to a device, is there an option in your modem/router config to make it fixed/reserved so in the future it will always pick up the same ip. That way you don't need to worry about duplicate addresses.

Yea..I can fix it, just lazy.
Holding off for a rainy day because I need to reconfigure and map my whole home network setup.
Also I have modified a few Ethernet lines to transmit both Internet and RS232 or Internet and phone line.
I kinda want to leave it as is because it works good enough and hasn't burned down the house. Who knows what will happen if I start trying to "fix" it.

the problem is, it's nothing that appears logical to me, or even fixable ... and i'm a network administrator so it might be something bigger. OR i have wrong job

I'm gonna be having a lot more predictable free time, I'd love if we could renew some interest in this. And since I have no keyboard and am really cheap--voice conferencing (again?)?

Sweet! Sounds great
I'd have to get an NTSC-US copy of the game though, I don't own it anymore, and right now I have an NTSC-J copy.
BTW, are there any differences between the ASCII and the Sammy PSO Gamecube Keyboards?

I tried it using one of the cobra tools but the problem is the encryption.. which is basically pretty easy if i did understand it, but i couldn't find a tool for de/encryption :/
Basically all you need would be this "random"-Key of both of the MCs, don't you?

Didn't even know Sammy released a keyboard as well. Haven't seen it anywhere, including eBay

I think the Sammy keyboard is better quality and more expensive. They do appear on eBay occasionally.

Seems like we'll be seeing a lot more players online soon - Devolution is going to emulate the 56k dial-up adapter over WiFi so users will be able to play via their Wii!
