WiikeyGC problem - setup problem? SD?

Post by liquitt » Thu Feb 02, 2012 5:23 pm

So, i got a wiikey'ed Gamecube from emu ...

I put wiikey 1.5 update and mario kart dd via wbfs manager on my fat32 formatted sd card...
When i'm in the gamecube bios and close the lid it just switches between "Insert Gamecube media blah" and "reading disc" very fast.
I know i've seen a thread about this somewhere but can't find it :(

what am i doing wrong? do i need any other wiikey iso on the sd card?

Cheers!

You need to press the "eject" button to load the linux loader.

Your SD card needs to be WBFS formatted and you need to add games to the card with WBFS manager 4.0, or the wiikey will tell you to gtfo. :)

Because the wiikeyfusion is a wii modchip and waits for the wii drive lidswitch signal to activate.

Yeah, you need to hit the switch on the back once :)

P.S. it's already running Wiikey v1.5 ;)

yeah i noticed that NOW ;)

btw, is it possible that you have to press the switch between 1 and 2 seconds exactly?
there can be a too short or too long it seems - or the switch got damaged while being transported :D
