I've wired up the screen but I didn't use any resistors or a pot, I feel like I lost some quality now that I have it wired up without the gc cable. Im guessing this is why?

Ide wire same as used for WFK. Im guessing it could also not be tick enough and could be getting some interference? With my audio amp from the iLuv speaker it takes 2 AA batteries at 1.5v, so would it be getting 3v or 1.5v? And if it was getting 3v could I give it 3.3v from the gc?

Edit: Im guessing some grainy/pixel type interference I believe. What to do, add resistor or change the wires?

Also, Im guessing the gamecube uses thermal pads instead of paste (unless mine is really really dried up..), would thermal paste me more effective or should I stick with thermal pads? I have some which I can use to replace the stock ones.

Is a think pad heatsink worth the extra money for the space and lightness?

Is it too late to dremel the board? Or will it cause solder to crack/become loose from the vibrations?

If the board vibrates enough when using a high speed dremel to break a solder connection you've made then you should re-do that solder connection anyway.

I'd stick with the thermal pads if using the stock heatsink as it sits a bit higher and you'd need a lot of paste to make contact with the heatsink.

I always make sure my solder connections can take a big tug so I should be good. Okay good to know, I believe my thermal pads that I will be replacing with aren't as thick, but I might stack two.

What do you think it is with my video issue? Not thick enough wire?

I'm not sure, try another higher quality wire which has better shielding.

UPDATE 2/19/14

Cut and sanded mobo, turned out pretty good imo being the first time I use a dremel.

Wired SD Gecko, genesis emu works but n64 wont find roms ... (They are in the proper folder)

Removed vga, composite and power from screen board as they were too bulky.

Will be wiring memcard soon, I have a 256 block but I don't think its worth it to wire that in the portable. I should get a 1000 block memcard correct?

WFK is still for sale.

Not sure which forum, but there was a guy currently making a hdmi port working for both n64 and ngc, and more support to come. I believe this was native from the digital port, so it would be equivalent to component cable.

I remember a name being OzOne in the thread, not sure if he's the one who's making it but for some reason that name is stuck in my head.

It would have to be pretty small, the good thing about the component cable is that all you need is the chip. Methods I have seen to duplicate the DAC use big boards, this would not be possible in a portable.

Well, it looks like (after reading the MEGA3 thread) that someone has been able to buy some MX chips from china that actually seem to be working. I recommend reading the entire thread actually, as I didn't understand too much myself. Make your own conclusion out of it after reading.

Nothing has been release yet and it seems like ozone is still working on it. I will be searching for a cheap component cable in my area, hopefully from someone who has no idea about their value, and if I get one one day I will add it to the portable but for now I must stay in SD resolutions :(

Replaced the wiring to the screen with much thicker wire (5x thicker then ide) and it looks good! Not great, like component great, but it is still acceptable.

Should I heat lift the AV out port and rewire it to save space? I am keeping the connector attached so I can still hook the portable up to the tv. I have a rework station so I couldnt be that hard to do, I am only worried about keeping the pins in tact.

For volume adjustment you're looking for a log pot. You can find these on Radiospares and Farnell. ;) That's some pretty neat stuff you have going on BTW. :)

Though luck, everything I buy is from china, usa (or canada on occation) and it takes 15-30 days unless I pay a hefty sum of money to get it in 7 days (Talking 27 bucks for something smaller than the tip of hitler's penis).

Yup, I've never paid express from China, by the time it all adds up, the shipping is usually way more than the item or it is available in NA for the same price. I always have the option of taking it from a gameboy.. My friend has several, I think I might do that.

Both RS and Farnell ship worldwide. No reason why you couldn't buy from them.
