I miss him too... maybe a little quirky, but most often his attitude was right on the money (especially concerning others that would just copy news from his site and never mentioned the source...). The man knew what he was talking about, and had built a great community. I hope he's still lurking around somewhere...

Just an FYI - a lot (if not all) of YAGCD is archived on web.archive.org/, which I'd highly recommend you all learn about if you don't know already. It's a website where users take snapshots of websites in their current state on that day. Keep your info archived there; you have no idea (well, you probably do) how invaluable some of the info on there. I've found tons of prototype resources from games that demoed at E3 2002 and the like. It's great. A portal to the past! *psychedelic colours*

archive.org actually uses automatic web crawling to build their web archive. No actual users are involved.

Definitely a valuable resource, but a live website is preferable because it's generally faster and doesn't have any of that archive.org cruft that they put on every page.

Didn't know about the web crawling, but you can in fact "force" archive a page, and I have done so. On https://archive.org/web/, there is a "Save Page Now" type-in box on the bottom right side of the page. Pasting in the URL will then proceed to archive the page. I've archived a handful of obscure pages that don't get crawled.

It's a great phone still heh, I'll probably get a new one later this year. For me, a great phone = something that can run most SNES games full speed + use a controller via bluetooth .. I really don't have much reason to move on from it apart from general slowness with all the mainstream bloatware I have installed (facebook, etc)
