Need Help With Loading Backups

Hi everyone. I'm hoping to take my gamecube that I haven't played in a while and turn it into a portable system. So I'd like to know what is the best way to load backups from an sd card or anything else for means of portability. Any advice on how to do what when it comes to make a portable gamecube would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance
