Greetings! Newbie here, just a little unclear on a couple things.
I've messed about with softmodding my Wii before and certain bits of it never quite worked the way I hoped. My interests are more on the GameCube end and I figure that a hard mod seems ideal, specifically WASP. The plan being to order from Badass consoles along with a megadrive. The 'cube in question is my launch console with a dead drive.
The way I understand, a v3 is what I want for a console - non portable. Is this correct? And when selecting the FCC type, does this depend on the console I have? I've searched on that bit but didn't find much for answers.
If there's info I'm missing here, I'd love to hear it.
Many thanks, Todd

Yes a V3 will work and it's the easiest and quickest to get you started. The locker type is just the clip mechanism on the FFC connector is just the way it stays in place. Locker is more sturdy but harder to push in. Up to you on that one.
The only thing you need to make sure is that your cube isn't IPL 1.0 This is a non-issue with swiss installed. Thanks for correcting me mega.
