So I just spent many hours installing a XenoGC chip in my GameCube using the wired install method, when I turn it on the red light flickers but when it changes to orange it stays on solid but I doubt this would be linked to my problem as it does successfully patch the drive. I have backups burned to TDK discs and only about 4 of them will work, the rest it will read until after the Nintendo logo then an error message popped up telling to power off and look at the manual, when I watch it with the top cover off when the laser gets to the edge of the disc that's when it will start showing that error and the laser makes a ticking sound before the error.
I have adjusted the potentiometor to the point where I thought I was going to blow the laser so I had to turn it way back down but it seemed to get a little farther in reading the disc each time I adjusted it, so I'm thinking it's the discs as I've had 3 or 4 write failures burning at 2x using IMGburn.
Can anyone recommend good disc's to use for the GameCube?, is Philips Disc's any good?
***I just tried a regular size DVD-R and it works, it's definitely the discs***
What brand mini DVD-R's are best to use for GameCube?

TDK are crap. Buy these discs http://www.checkoutstore.com/Ritek-Rida ... idmini.htm burn at 2x speed and POT at 100 to 150 ohms you should be good to go.
