Force 240p for dols in Swiss?

Post by Smashbro29 » Thu Dec 24, 2015 7:53 am

I recently got to Swiss by way of brosexec and I did it all to play Game Boy Interface in 240p, the issue is I can't seem to figure out how to force 240p for it in Swiss.

I can force it for my retail discs just fine (240p Melee!) but the same method doesn't seem to work for GBI.

I'm using the latest nightly, any advice?

I have a modded gc with a chip AND the SD media launcher with the disc. I can probably just burn a GBI startup disc but I still want to get the SDML working. I've put the files on the SD card and I'm booting the gc but the card won't work. Only my memory card in slot A seems to be active. I used the media launcher disc and booted it up, booted swiss and tried GBI. It's very very nice but I think I'll stick to my 5 level brightness GBA backlight mod. It's the best.

So SD cards are working in slot A, but not slot B? Sounds pretty odd...

I'd think the cost of SDML is better put toward a chip that supports homebrew without a boot disc.
Unless of course one has multiple gamecubes, nothing beats SDML's portable-ness.

my gamecube memory card works but shouldn't I be able to boot the GC or swiss menu straight from the SD card? I have the xenochip. Or am I forced to use the disc that came with it?

xeno requires a DVD to inject its code to read homebrew discs or backup discs
currently there is no way to directly load from SD card with xeno, you will need a swiss DVD

I have the GBI isos but I got an error message when trying to burn them....any tips there? I should be able to boot GBI without swiss, right?

Buy a SD card adapter for your GameCube, place GBI.dol and GBI.dcp on there, Swiss will show you an options screen just before booting GBI.dol and there you will be able to select various parameters.

When correctly burnt I don't see why not.
But some Gamecubes can be picky about reading DVD-R.
