First this amazing case
Tomorrow will add some more pics like the MiniGC board, Megadrive V6 with Wasp fusion. I'm hoping to get the battery tomorrow so I can get layer 1 finished or half done. It will be a slow process but I want it done right and that takes time and money I already have the analog sticks in just have to take a picture. I would like to thank Redmagnusx for all the help and support not to mention the case mad prop's man

I had trouble finding this diagram for the power reg's so I'm posting it here for anyone to see that is thinking about building there own portable.
Added MiniGC, Megadrive v6, and SDgecko pics that I will be using for the portable. Please not that one of the MiniGC boards doesn't work maybe because of heat during desoldering but one is working perfect I just need to add 10k pots to make slide L&R digital

Battery is coming today and I cut the motherboard I also found a heat sink and fan that will work. My only concern is the heat sink doesn't cover the whole board so I want to ask how hot does these ram chips get? Maybe I can just put mini sinks right on top of the ram and hopefully that will be good enough for cooling. The cube doesn't get that hot
Ok so got the battery ( It's very nice by the way ) cut it open spit it in half then placed it in the case with a little hot glue and reconnected them back together. Checked with a muitmeter getting 7.68 volts so good there. But I need to ether find a other heat sink or do some modding to the one I'm working with. While I do think it will be ok for cooling and is very quiet I'm worried about power draw. This fan is rated at 12v and 7.4 seems to be ok I might have to run it for a while out of the case to see if it can cool the gamecube efficiently. Which brings me to the next problem I powered the motherboard today to test and nothing think I killed it. So next mobo is going to the chopping block hopefully with better luck. That's the thing about making board cuts even if you follow every step perfect and don't even do that crazy cut ( OMGWTF ) you can still kill the board. I guess some boards can take it and others can't so I have a other one here which I was going to use in the first place because it still has the DVD filters on it which makes the V6 easier to solder so I will see how it goes. I case your wondering I did sand all sides of the board I understand it's 4 layers. Now I need the power regs and caps so I can build them also the speakers and audio amp they should be here by monday ( hopefully

The next few weeks will be a slow process of making the buttons and triggers. The triggers designed to be used on this build is a little tricky to make since A. they need to be custom made B. It a hard tact switch and rubber tact mixed together ( soldered on top of one another ). I have seen many peoples ideas and designs to overcome the analog slide problem which affects a few games. Lets just put it this way if I didn't want to play super mario sunshine then I wouldn't do the trouble of making them I would just connect both slide L&R to "click" L&R to the same trigger button press.
