Reapplying heatsink Paste

I have disassembled my GC to fix something and I removed the heatsink, will I have to reapply the paste stuff that's on it before reassembling?
Also, which paste is this. Thermal Paste or Epoxy?

These are thermal pads, not thermal paste so you don't need to change them. You can just reapply the heatsink as is.

If you do replace them, get 2mm thick thermal pads. I have tried 3mm and it works, but i cant say if its any better then 2mm.
