Duo Q Alt point B?
Received a 'modded' cube that had a Duo Q installed. The soldering was pretty bad with frayed wires in all directions. I cleaned it up and noticed the pad was ripped off at point B. Is there an alternative point for B? Also is the LED supposed to be yellow or blue? I have done vipers and xenos but never a Duo Q and could not find the information I needed via google. Thought I would post here in this great community I like to lurk on

Re: Duo Q Alt point B?

Ive labled in pink where you can connect to. The pad directly above the "3" of the "CN302" silk OR the via that both that pad and your missing pad leads to.

Thank you very much Mr Sporty. I will be testing the alt point in a day or two!

Re: Duo Q Alt point B?
Did not want to necessarily double post but need to make sure thread shows I have new information...
Concerning the same cube I pulled the DuoQ from with the ripped off pad at the B point, it seems to be missing the PCB below the bottom shield altogether (and there seems to be a lack of space for the PCB entirely?)
When looking at another cube there is a open area in the top left for a power connection. This cube with the DuoQ I bought is missing some parts (fan, etc) but it is very different from others I've seen. Any explanation?

Re: Duo Q Alt point B?
it's a DOL-101 - notice it's also missing the component cable port at the back. The powerboard on this unit was merged onto the mainboard.

Ah yes I was going to mention that. This is my first 101 to be frank -- have always only seen 001s. I feel foolishemu_kidid wrote:it's a DOL-101 - notice it's also missing the component cable port at the back. The powerboard on this unit was merged onto the mainboard.

Nah, you're good. Anyone would've asked if they didn't know there are different revisions of the mainboard. I've never seen a DOL-101 even.
Re: Duo Q Alt point B?
i've had around 8 cubes until today and never had a 101 either

please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

So a DOL-101 doesn't have a fan? Like others, I have never taken one apart. I do have a couple lying around.
