replacing themo paste with themo pads.

have anybody ever try to replace the old themo paste in the gamecube with a themo pad? because i am thinking about doing it to my gamecube. a pad kit cast around $5-9.00 to get a package of themo pads and it used for gpu/north bridge chip set.

The gamecube already uses thermal pads and they're more than good enough. Don't bother changing them.

yeah i know but the pads are dry and breaking apart. i just wanna know if this would work since these pads are really good.

Well in this case, yes you can. The gamecube is a very low power system so it doesn't need much in terms of cooling.
