Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Game Star Wars the Clone Wars
Region NTSC
Medium SD2SP2 confimed good dump by nkit CRC32: 8D24A2C1 Size: 1393510400 bytes (1328 MiB)
Swiss version Swiss v0.5r827
More of a bug. The game doesn't like 480i. Launching in 240p seemed to fix my issue.

Medium SD2SP2 confirmed dump by nkit CRC32: B150985F Size: 214102016 bytes (204 MiB)
Swiss version Swiss v0.5r827
After starting the game the game seems to reset back to the title screen. Same ISO in dolphin works fine.

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Ikaruga depends on streaming audio emulation.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
The X-Men - Next Dimension videos are freezing in the latest version of Swiss. Despite being a common problem, this is the only game that can freeze the game for that reason. At least for me.
I tried to start the game with the audio and reading options on and off. I didn't notice any differences.

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
I tried my full catalog of PAL games with latest swiss and I am having video output issues with Pikmin 2 PAL and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes PAL. Can someone confirm this?
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Problems have been reported recently with a Metroïd, and further investigations eventually showed that the file was just damaged on the media, do you have a mean to re-dump or check your ISOs?
Did you try to run them in their native video mode? (IE not forcing 480lines if a game isn't PAL-60 compatible at first)
I had a question, is NKit .GCZ ISOs supposed to be launched from SWISS, they just doesn't show in the file browser.

The people on #gc-forever clarified my issue. Metroid Prime 2 Echoes PAL only supports 60Hz.
The issue of Pikmin 1 black screening with swiss.dol used as igr.dol is reproducable on my end. Do you face the same issue?
These are shrinked images, are these supported by swiss? I think you are supposed to unshrink these first... Never looked into it honestly.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Hi, I tested version 870 and many problems have been fixed. Unfortunately, X-Men - Next Dimension still suffers from the problems related to videos. I also did not notice improvement in the introduction video of Megaman - Network Transmission.

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
OMG how the r870 improved on that!

Edit: Wonder how accurate can the temperature displlay be, when from storage to SWISS ready, my Black set gives 34°C and both the Indigo and Silver ones say 54°C…

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
really now you can say that there is high speed!
games that previously had hiccups in CGIs are now running smoothly.

the reading speed of the game list was wonderful.
and the unavailability of SP2 in some games, like Batman Vengeance, Medal of Honor, which only worked with the gecko, now runs on SP2 without problems for me ...
a scary leap in that year 2020.

for me my BGA is always at 65º to 70º
I changed and cleaned the entire hub,
how much temperature would be ideal?

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
38-42°C is the normal idle temperature on the systems used to calibrate the thermal assist unit.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Is it expected to have to be calibrated for specific units?
How can we do/help with that?

I'd love to be a contributor to the compatibility list.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Then... do it? Anyone can register and edit.

Just noticed the temperature doesn't show at all on the Wii.
Also, auto video mode doesn't seem to work on the Wii either.

Broadway doesn't have a thermal assist unit.

Game
Transworld Surf
Region
NTSC-U
Medium
Gc-loader, Pal Gamecube
Swiss version
r870
Detailed report of the issue
Game crashes whenever you wipeout. Could be resolution related as when you wipeout, the girl comes to get you on a jet ski and the view completely changes. Tried in both forced 480p and 480i.

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Thanks for the quick reply, I will give it a go tomorrow and let you know.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
It's an extremely out-of-bounds depth buffer read. It's now been fixed in r884.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Perfect, thanks for the reply. I will update my version tomorrow.
Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
The non-forcing video mode when no device available is quite nice, thanks a lot.
Although I have thought forward about it: What about a general games setting's "auto" video mode, where the games would be launched with video mode forced according to the ISO area (480p for NTSC, and 576p for PAL). Quite like SWISS auto video mode, where it is forced according to the console area when available.
This video mode forcing would allow for PAL games that support it, to switch then to 480p, in the b-button menu, when available, avoiding weirdnesses that may happen when 480lines is forced on a 50Hz only game that doesn't support it at all. It would also allow NTSC games that don't natively support it to be run in 480p mode.
That would push ergonomy a step forward, as with the non-forcing video mode, one can still have to set 50 or 60 Hz according to whether the games support it or not. That would reduce the need for the per-game settings, as it is very unlikely that a 60Hz-only PAL game would crash, booting at 576p (still have to test, but think they revert to 60Hz at launch anyways).
Also, I'll test the non-forcing video mode and auto SWISS video configuration on the Wii, to see how it behaves, and i'll report if something bugs me.

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
I used the boot file from r878 dated 15th August 2020 and the issue is still there unfortunately. Again tried in forced 480p and native 480i.
