SD Media Launcher Issues.

Hello.
I recently purchased an SD Media Launcher with the hopes of playing SNEs9xGX on it and thought it would be as easy as a youtube tutorial showed but unfortunately every time I try booting it goes into a black screen and never boots the .dol file. I also tried using swiss and it does the exact same thing. My gamecube has a xenoGC modchip and that works well but I am not sure if that could be blocking the SD media launcher from working correctly.
Anyways, if anyone could give me some direction, I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks

You got a xenogc?
Then why use a SDML? :|

Unless you meant SDGecko.

Well I thought SDgecko was only for wii. In fact I don't even know where to buy SDgecko and its probably too late now anyways. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

Well probably the "safest" and more convenient way to boot swiss is to burn it on a dvd.

Then you can load stuff from the SD card.
Search around the interwebs if you want to buy one.
Sites like DX etc, sell if for 4-5$.

Building one isn't that hard either. :o

@ceramiclion

Does the SDML file browser show the contents of the SD card.

Largest card size you can use with SDML is 2GB.

I have no problems running Snes9xGX with the SDML disc.

EDIT

If your using the SD reader supplied by Datel that might be your problem as its junk.

Yes, the SD browser shows the content of my card. Its just when i try to boot the .dol file that it goes to a black screen. Yes I am using a 2GB SD card. I made certain that its not an SDHC.
I once tried to make a dvd with the emulator and roms but it would freeze up on the emulator and since mini-DVDs are hard to come by i stopped trying.

Yes i bought my SDML from Datel... :( . I didnt know any better, i saw a vid on youtube and thought it would be as easy as shown.

Pictured in order of preference.

The official Nintendo reader and SD Geko are spring loaded which makes both products feel more secure at holding the SD card.

The wiSD and Datel units feel much less well made.

I just tried the Datel reader and it loaded Snes9x .dol after a couple of times.

Have you tried the age old method of blowing the reader and port on the GameCube.

Also have you tried another SD card.

Well, I don´t think the junk Datel sd adapter could be the problem. I have the same problems with snes emulator and have both sd gecko and datel´s adapter and when I have that issue I switch adapters and nothing. Sometimes when I change the slot I load the .dol it works, but only sometimes. I felt lucky ´cause time ago it worked in one of my microsd, but since it got corrupted I haven´t tried again. I recomend defrag the micro sd with Panasonic sd formatter.

Well I tried it on both slot and still nothing...
I will continue trying it more at a later date when I have a clear mind...
COuld be that my SD media launcher is defective.
We'll see.

No I doubt that'd be defective. Try other homebrew too.

Where can I get an SD Gecko? Are they still available for sale?
Thank you.

Have you tried another SD card? What brand and size card are you using? Are you using a micro SD card in an adaptor?

Hi. The SD reader arrived late last week. (during the storm) and I stried over the weekend and it worked. So the SD media launcher is defective. Thank you so much Wii-HD!
