Hello I'm new to both the gamecube modding scene and this site and I was wondering can you run a gamecube off of 12.6v on a rev c motherboard? Seeing as the gamecube runs off of 12v from the standard gamecube power I would assume that it could run off a 12.6v battery as well, no?

With a regulator you can run it from anything you want, with possible small power loss though.
0.6 v is probably within the acceptable range, but I give no guarantees not having tried it.

A regulator is good to have anyways as to make sure the voltage is stable (The adjustable ones are pretty sweet, can be used for many projects).

Cool but do you think I could power it without a regulator?

As long as the battery is correctly protected you can plug it in place of the wall wart.

Cool thanks. I was looking at a 12.6v li-ion battery 9800mAh today with PCB. How long will that last running the gamecube?

The Cube is rated for 39W max, so about three hours on full load.

Also, you could also wire two batteries in parallel to double the capacity. that'd be six hours ^^
Although could be expensive.

I will definitely take the 3 hours. I actually did not expect that long of a battery life

39w rating is with the DVD drive...
eliminate the drive and you decrease consumption...

Yeah, if you use a Wasp, you'll get even moar battery life.
