Using Only DVDs to Emulate Consoles?

Post by dj505 » Fri Jul 22, 2016 5:02 am

Hi all! First post here! The GC is my favorite system right now, and I just ordered a Xeno GC modchip for it so I could play some backup games!
So, my main question here is if it's possible to emulate the NES/SNES/Genesis by using only a DVD with the ROMs on it, without ever having to use an SD adapter. Is this at all possible? I've got tons of old black DVDs an it would be so cool to be able to make my GC into a sort of multi-console entertainment center, albeit a small one. Thanks in advance! :D

Yes it's possible, although some emulators might not support saving emulated game saves to memory card.

You can use bootable disc creator to make a disc with Swiss as the main DOL file and then have the other emulator DOL files on the same disc with ROMs.

Cool! Can you explain how to do this, by any chance? I'm still a beginner with the whole GC homebrew scene.
