GameCube Reader problem

Hello Guys, my game cube isnt reading CDs anymore, can i run games on SD with some adapter like SD2SP2 without use the CD reader, or i have to replace the CD Driver to play again ?
If cleaning the lens, exercising the lens slide, and cleaning the discs didn't help, sometimes, re-adjusting the laser pot may help.
If the drive is dead, you may need a drive replacement "chip" (GCLoader).
SD2SP2, as SDGecko, essentially use software that is disc-based in a way or another.
