GC Loader Not Loading Swiss On GC Startup

Hello,

I purchased a GC Loader from https://www.black-dog.tech/product-page/gcloader-pnp in the US recently. I followed instructions online to install it safely into a functional GameCube DOL-001.

I am using swiss_r1984 (latest release as of last week) and also tried swiss_r1527. I put it on a FAT32 (and tried exFAT) formatted SD card. I have tried on a SandDisk Ultra 128G, and on a Samsung 128G Evo Plus SD card.

Both SD cards were tested for issues and reformatted both in exFAT and FAT32.

When I boot my GC Loader GameCube, the GC Loader lights up, but it goes straight to the default GC startup menu and says there is no disk.

I have tried the Swiss GC Loader specific boot.iso and the US specific boot.iso, double checked the naming, and have even taken apart and re-put together the GameCube. It is not working. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Does it error out or just doesn't read your SD card?

Its just not reading my SD card. It goes straight to regular GameCube boot screen. The light is on in the GC loader itself, and I triple checked boot.iso naming, put boot.iso in the root, formatted both exFAT and FAT32, etc., but nothing's worked to get it functioning.

As a quick update, I have since tried a few more versions of swiss and still no luck. Still just loads into the default GameCube screen. No error message.

I think you should follow up with where you bought it from, sounds like the SD card slot might be faulty? They can better diagnose it.
