Bluechip V9 IDE-EXI Error

Hi,
my bluechip arrived today, so i could build my ide-exi today..
I patched it with the Bluechip Firmware from yamaharacer.
Everything seems to be fine at first, swiss shows iso's, patches them and starts them.
The problem is, that after the swiss screen disappears, the hdd isn't in read anymore and the screen stays green...
Tested on PSO 1&2 and Mario Kart DD..
Btw.: How much current can i get from of the EXI 5V line? Atm. I'm using it to power my 2,5" HDD wich takes up to 0.6A..
And here some pics:
Thanks

I would say your cables are too long. that could be why the games arent loading. by the way on your bluechip are still parts that have to be desoldered.

_Nold_, you didn't build latest Swiss did you? That might be broken for IDE-EXI v1.

The cable is about 30cm..
Also I checked the parts, seems to be ok, the ones that were connected to the importent lines where removed.

I tested it with an older build (with old GUI, about r6X) and 0.2 r94...
Could it maybe be because i've just connected one GND line to the gc's ground? As you can see in the pics i just cut all others, because they are connected in the HDD anyway...
Edit: Just tryed to load a .dol.. works fine..

Nold, what type of HDD are you using? Size/Brand/etc. I know there are issues that are not compatible with the 48bit LBA mode..

It's an old Fujitsu 60GB 2,5" HDD that i've taken out of an old blade-server ^^
I'll try a normalen 3,5" this evening..

Tryed an other 3.5" HDD yesterday. But he didn't seem to recognise it. Activity lights up but he just says "ideb:" and dosn't show any files, even if the HDD wasn't the fastest on the PC, i can see the .iso there...
I will check the wireing if i have time, and work on a better ground connection...

Make sure device is on Master all the time and not CS or Slave. Try using 40/80pin see if it makes any difference?

Yes, Sir!

I don't hope that i have to solder a whole 80-Pin cable >.<
I will first try to improve the ground connection and check if all the wires are connected correctly. So much to do.. so little time

Ok, on the 3.5" it was my fault, wrong FAT format ^^
But it sucks that my nice little 2.5" isn't working

Still thanks a lot for everything

looking forward for DMA
