Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
AWESOME!!! I have also experienced the same problems as you guys. Some games give fatal exception.
Also does this only accept FAT? or also FAT32 formatted sd cards? I assume both right?? It doesn't yet support wbfs right??
Thanks for all you great work. Even years after the gamecube so called died you are still keeping it very much alive!!!

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
It only supports FAT/FAT32 for now. Just to confirm, are you guys getting the "Fatal Exceptions" in Swiss, and not in the games? If so, it's easily fixed.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
I fixed the issue you guys were experiencing, please try the new version here below and tell me how it goes
http://gc-forever.com/WKF-SwissWithFW1.5.7z
I tried some other things too, flashed back down to v1.0 firmware and tried to use Swiss. It didn't need me to hold/use the switch at all, but unfortunately no games booted via Swiss, the offset couldn't be set per ISO successfully. I will try with all the versions of the firmware in case I find a better one but for now, stick with v1.5 + Swiss.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
hm it crashed right after i try to start it :/
Do i have to flash the normal WKF-Firmware before flashing swiss again? I'll try :/
EDIT: OMFG! I can't even flash the normal 1.5 Update T_T
I'm getting an exception right after starting it T_T
Recovery isn't starting, too

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Recovery flasher works fine for me. Are you writing the recovery image to the SD card as raw data Nold? Read the readme included with the recovery iso.
EDIT: just tried the new version out with the same games I tried previously. Whatever issue there was, it seems to be fixed now! Nice work Emu! Thank you!

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
_Nold_, I wouldn't run the updater .gcm via Swiss, if you want to run it via Swiss, extract the "Swiss.dol" file from the .gcm by opening it up with an ISO explorer (not a GC iso explorer, but something like ISOBuster).
Edit: Ashen, also as of this build you can load .DOL files from the Wiikey Fusion too and it should actually work. The problem of course is, homebrew doesn't support wiikey fusion as I believe it's a "read only" device.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
In all the hype I've forgotten to try this out on my Gamecube Fusion portable - I'll have to run it tonight

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
I tested 20 or so games before work, all run flawlessly now! Dol loading seems to be hit and miss, it seems certain homebrew doesn't like booting from the Wiikey. The stuff I did get to run still needs to load any extras from SD Gecko of course. Nice feature for the stuff that works.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
I just unpacked the dol and flashed it
Works fine
Don't know why the recovery didn't work.. dd'ed it as everytime :/
But who cares now ^^
Star Wars: RS 3 works fine, too
And even GC-Linux boots

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Awesome!! It works with everything I throw at it. Ofcourse not with all homebrew but that doesn't matter so much. Pity the fusion sd slot is read-only.
Is it possible to make custom skins? Or is the flash not big enough for a more complex background image?

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Tested a bunch of games PAL and NTSC and it appears to have better compatibility than before.
The wiikey fusion firmware will not play some off region games however your most awesome swiss killer firmware plays every single game in PAL and NTSC mode. I have not once encounted a game that wouldn't play.
Only benefits the WODE has now are hdd loading and disc switching with the lcd. If you would be able to create something that fuses a multidisc game into a single disc then we have the ultimate gamecube modchip.
Don't think the last is even possible though. I cannot thank you enough for your work. Who'd of though the gamecube would get this much shine

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
I'm probably going to slow down on the Wiikey Fusion support front once I test out v1.1->v1.4 firmwares, because for the most part Swiss as it seems to work well with the WKF. I'll add WKF flashable .dol/.gcm files to the releases so you guys can keep up to date though.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
I can't see what else we could possibly ask for anyway. Besides maybe specific game fixes and multi disc switching support (this may already be implemented? I haven't tried it.) and other trivial little things like skinning support.
One thing I did notice is that if you boot the wiikey without a SD card inserted Swiss will continuously/repeatedly try to mount it anyway. Is there a way we can have it try once and give up? Or have a timeout period? Not a huge deal, just something I noticed.
Once again, thank you Emu. Your efforts and support continue to blow me away with each release.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Multi-disc switching should be simple to add in, but it's not already in there yet, it'll be the next thing to do. Oh I hadn't noticed the continuous attempts to mount an SD card, it shouldn't happen, I'll take a look for that too.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Is it possible to add function for emulating a triforce drive and Controller into swiss?
Would be awesome to play mario Kart gp

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
not the place to ask for it, it's very low on my todo list as it'd be a lot of work

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Woooooooooooooo! emu_kidid you rock!
This may be a rediculous statement but if I needed to run homebrew that wasn't compatible with the flash firmware. Could I start a swiss.dol from within swiss so it runs as if I booted swiss with a normal wiikey fusion?

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
Ben, you can still launch hombrew from an sd gecko or other device. No need to launch swiss from anywhere but the wiikey flash anymore.

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO

i'm just wondering if it would be possible to have IDE-EXI and SDGecko support? ...or did i miss something in this thread?

Re: Swiss on Wiikey Fusion as initial ISO
the support is there, just have an SD card in the wiikey slot for now as it'll try to infinitely load from it.
