Not64 - an experimental modification
Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Is there any status update on Not64? It seems like N64 on the Wii is pretty much dead at this point?
For those who have used Not64 successfully: can anyone share how to render Banjo with eyeballs? Or how to get the water in Diddy Kong Racing to stop strobing?

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
An update was released "silently" on August 9.
This is a random event and it can occur in Wii64.Jinx_Dojo wrote:can anyone share how to render Banjo with eyeballs?

How the crap did you pull this off, and at 60fps?! Nice!

It seems the scale pitch seems to brake wwf no mercys already glitched audio. It gives every bit of talking very deep voices but overall I hope you carry on with this project as I havent seen a update in cube64 in ages

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
This is great! Blast Corps does indeed work on this build. What a fantastic job. I've even noticed a few other games (Bomberman 64, Lode Runner 3D, Perfect Dark [be patient with this one, it takes some loading]) that perform notably better!
Edit: Trying a few other games...
Goldeneye: Has wonky speed issues, but seems to work otherwise.
Clayfighter 63 1/3: Doesn't work, black screens on Dynarec and Pure Interp
Castlevania 64: Plays a bit better, sound is still wonky, action is slow.
Cruisin' USA: Some graphical issues, speed is slow, audio is hilariously slowed down. Seems to work, though.
Duke Nukem 64: Still practically unplayable. Some speed issues, major graphical issues.
Gex 3 - Deep Cover Gecko: Works and is very much playable.
Gex 64 - Enter the Gecko: Works and is very much playable.
Hydro Thunder: Doesn't play, black screens on Dynarec and Pure Interp
NFL Blitz 2000: It plays! ...that is, until you start a game of football. Then it freezes just prior to kickoff.
South Park: Doesn't play, black screens.
Star Wars - Shadows of the Empire: Title screen, but after pressing start, the music keeps going and nothing happens.
Starcraft 64: Veeeeery slow, doesn't play that well.
Super Mario 64: Works, but unlike the regular 'Honey' build, this one has audio that varies in speed (never saw that happen in the previous build) depending on the setting.
Tetrisphere: Works well, but the blocks don't stay their respective colors, often flicking to be uniform...all one color. This also happens in the standard Honey build.
Turok - Dinosaur Hunter: Reasonably works, audio can change speed at times.
War Gods: Works, but there are some graphic glitches and annoying audio buzzing during transitions.
Zelda - Ocarina of Time: Some audio glitches, but overall runs at full speed! Pausing acts a bit strange at times, too. The Equipment screen has an odd looking Link graphic, but other than that, it should be fine.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Neon Genesis Evangelion is also playable now, and also through IDE-EXI. Is awsome because is the first emulator I can run using this device, the Nes, Snes and GBA special builds don´t work for me yet. Now I understand why you haven´t updated the Mplayer, you have dedicated all this time for this emulator, and it was well done. Excellent work man!!

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Possible regression: gex 3 (E) (M3) [!] exits with a code dump when entering the area with the western station TV set is. Does not do this in wii64 1.1 or the unofficial recompile dubbed "1.1.1"

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Mischief Makers (E): the control is dead can not start the game, verified with controls gamecube and wiimote
Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Can this use savegames from the regular Wii64? I'm playing OoT, and would like to see how much better it performs with this emulator.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Never had a problem related to using wii64 saves so it should be fine.PetterP wrote:Can this use savegames from the regular Wii64? I'm playing OoT, and would like to see how much better it performs with this emulator.
Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Thanks. Have just had the chance to try it out now. Overall the game runs a lot more smoothly, but unfortunately, the music emulation is a little wonky, and this annoys me more than a little bit of lag now and them, so I think I'll go with the regular wii64 after all.
Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
I keep getting a Error (This is not a valid Wii application) what do I do to fix this?

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Any plans to do something similar for WiiSX? A lot of games could seriously benefit from the improved audio features as many of them suffer from 'fuzzy audio'

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Well, any kind of improvement would be a welcome change, seeing as, you know, things haven't been going so smoothly.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
speed in games greatly improved, now you can see vehicles on the map selector to blast corps, Chameleon Twist 2 is played almost like the original, mischief makers now control works but only see half the screen, conker bad fur day running ... but Pure interpreter (I check more games)
generally small changes, but make the difference ... thanks Extrems!
sorry for the mistakes I use a translator.

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
Great someone is improving the emulator, I also home someone will work on PSX emulator as well someday.
Take a look at my YouTube channel - totally dedicated to retro shooters
Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
I hope you can get Mario Party 1 and 3 working perfectly. Mario Party 1 almost works perfectly except for a few slowdowns in some mini-games and a huge graphical glitch in the Face Lift minigame (screen flashes a lot even with or without FB textures on). Mario Party 3 has a slowdown in the main boards and in some mini-games but I haven't really noticed any major graphical glitch.
