Thanks I figured it out myself after a while

does that mean you can store multiple games on the same disc as it just sees it as another location? I did one as I said with a full 4.7GB DVD-R but I only managed to get it run once must been a bad burn or something

it didn't run any better than from sd card though video was still stuttery as hell, I thought they'd be an advantage with the extra read speed but alas I guess the gamecube emulator is bottlenecked someway. But the mdec decoder seems somewhat broken anyway as I reported here

When it reads from SD is set the same as SD-Boot with the 16/32Mhz options? or is only 16mhz?
Also can region detection be changed to read the information from actual exe header rather than detecting it off the system.cnf exe name SCES, SCUS, SLED, SCED etc as PAL homebrew is wrongly detected as NTSC.
It could also be detected off the sony license information if using images.
