s8n187, that's pretty cool
Re: WII RetroArch emulator running on my Sega New Astro City
thanks emu , yeah im pretty stoked about the emulator..........the Dev's for it and viletim who made the Adapter to connect SCART to JAMMA have done a great job.
recently i was 1 of about 4 that Beta tested the Controller Expansion for viletim , it has been released into the public as it got the thumbs up from us.

That is so awesome!! This inspires me to make my own Wii cab, using something like priiloader to skip the Wii menu and directly boot into RetroArch or SDL MAME (can't wait for the MAME core to be ported over!), the hardest part would the controls but I figure breaking open some gamecube controllers and soldering buttons onto them will do the trick

hi Disorarara thanks for your nice comments , are you the same person from GBAtemp forums ?..................
btw i made this contraption below for controls , it has 1 PSX Digital Controller in each Project Box and i then have Controller Adapters for different Consoles. Also i find its a cheap way of doing it cost $4 each for the PSX Digital Controller , i have 2 boxes full of them prolly 25-30 Controllers total.
checkout this link below , its where i got 1 of my Astros from the other was a Private sale

s8n187, I always forget you're in Australia. Do they ship interstate cheap?

@emu_kidid
I seem to remember from a few years back there are a number of dealers of Candy cabs over there.
But all I can think of right now are Zax Amusements - probably worth asking at Aussie Arcade forum for pointers if you want a Japanese or clone cabinet.

Zax is hard to deal with i remember sending 2 emails trying to get my first Astro and got no reply , also when i met someone through Aussie Arcade and went to his apartment to checkout his Astro he was selling we spoke about Zax.
He also said he is hard to deal with and you have to push him to get some sort of response.............he said using the phone is better than email to get in contact with him.

highway doesn't have too bad shipping prices. For the Astro it's about $400 though.. I'd rather make my own next year though, more of a fan of table top arcades, and I'm thinking how slim I can get one with an LED monitor + shuttle pc.
Re: WII RetroArch emulator running on my Sega New Astro City
i dont know why you would want a thin table top arcade.
But my bartop is pretty thin, i can fit it in the back seat of my car.

Re: WII RetroArch emulator running on my Sega New Astro City
Thin so I can stretch my legs and so that if you cover it with a table cloth it's just a normal table
I'll reply to your PM tonight

If you want to hide it as a coffee table, go the whole 9 yards and design a hideaway into a coffee table.
Im currently in the process of drafting up one in cad. I'll get most the bits CNC cut at work.
Im trying to emulate this one:
