i have been reading a lot most of the material its a bit complex to me but im excited to try to make the chip. I have the source code that its avaible in this site so i have some questions.
1.- to program the chip i just need the hex file and to installit i the chip?
2.- after the installation of the chip im ready to load games from the SD Gecko ?
3.- After the installation of the chip if i burn a game in a mini dvd my gaamecube will read it?

1. in the wiki, find a hex that has been listed as working
then you need to properly set the fuses on the atmega
then solder it in...
all this info is detailed in the wiki, look for it and read it a few more times but so far it sounds like you got the basic understanding
2. you cannot load anything from sdgecko. you actually load a dvd, swiss, sdload.
this will provide you the ability to search and load a file on your sd
3. yes, you might need to adjust the pot. not sure if thats in the wiki, but its all over the web. google: gamecube pot setting and look at the youtube video
